Xu Yanwu was helplessly pinned to a seaside cliff by Chi You's horn. The blood dripping from his wounds was absorbed by the ground the moment it touched it, staining the earth a red that would never fade.

More than half of the tribal allied forces had been killed or wounded. Left with no other choice, the rest retreated to the Xuanyuan Tribe.

Above Chi You's head, a woman's phantom flickered in and out of sight. It flew down from atop Chi You's head and sat directly in midair not far from Xu Yanwu, looking down at him as he struggled to rise.
"Otherworld Deity, this is the third time we have met."
The several large holes in Xu Yanwu's abdomen began healing at a visible rate. At last, he found the strength to climb up from the ground and sit against the cliff wall.
"The third time? I don't want to see you at all. Right now, I just want to find a way to kill you..."
Xu Yanwu glared fixedly at the phantom before him. If she had not appeared, how could Ji Lin and the others have been swallowed by Chi You, their lives and deaths unknown?
The phantom's face could not be seen clearly, but Xu Yanwu could sense that she was looking directly at him.
"Your eyes carry human emotions. Do you hate me?" The phantom's voice was utterly calm.
"Human emotions are the most useless things. You should not possess them."
Xu Yanwu spat. "But the last two times I met you, you got angry at me."
The phantom answered without hesitation. "Those were merely emotions left behind in that body itself. They had nothing to do with me. As God (Honkai), I have no need for emotions."
"You are a deity as well. You should not have human emotions."
The phantom pointed at Xu Yanwu. "Bound by emotions as you are, even after hundreds of thousands of years and after recovering your body, you still cannot wield your divine power. That is the best proof."
"A deity... Are you talking about me? Saying that I'm a god?"
Xu Yanwu laughed at himself.
"A god lying here like a beggar? Are you kidding me? If I were a god..."
The hatred in Xu Yanwu's gaze toward the phantom was completely undisguised.
"The first thing I'd do would be tear you apart!"
But the phantom did not take Xu Yanwu's words to heart.
"You possess a divine body, immortal and indestructible. You command rules; your words become law, and your wishes are fulfilled."
"Yet merely because of useless human emotions, you cannot even wield one percent of those powers."
"You even go so far as to help humans."
"You simply do not deserve the power of a god."
The phantom pronounced her judgment. "I will seal you away for all eternity. I will never allow you to appear in this world again."
But Xu Yanwu laughed.
"I suddenly had an idea. A very bold idea... If all my emotions are stored inside my heart..."
The phantom asked.
"What are you laughing at?"
Xu Yanwu tugged up his shirt, exposing his muscular chest.
"You just said that I can't use my power because of my emotions, right?"
"What are you trying to do?" The phantom sensed that something was wrong.
Xu Yanwu raised his right hand and aimed it at his chest.
"As you wish... How did that line go again?"
Xu Yanwu's hand plunged into his chest as easily as if it were paper, gripping his still-beating heart.
"I'm an emotionless killer... Something like that?"
Pulling a mocking smile, Xu Yanwu said, "Just take it as a joke."
"Chi You! Stop him!"
The phantom gave the order, and Chi You raised his foot to stomp down on Xu Yanwu.
"Too late."
Thump, thump.
His right hand withdrew from his chest, bringing out a pink heart that was still beating. Blood vessels still connected it to the hollow cavity in Xu Yanwu's chest.
Xu Yanwu glanced at his own heart.
"I originally thought my heart might be prettier."
Chi You's foot hung in midair as if something were holding it up.
"My power hasn't increased by much, but its absorption of energy seems more like... plunder?"
Looking at the seaside vegetation gradually withering in the distance, then at the hollow in his chest devouring energy like a black hole, Xu Yanwu understood. "It really is completely different."
"Go find Chi Yuan yourself." Xu Yanwu tossed his heart into the air. It transformed into a meteor and flew toward the Xuanyuan Tribe.

After the three ran around a corner, a figure directly pulled them into the shadows.
"Stay here and don't run around. As long as I block them, they won't attack you."
It was a curvy figure, and Danzhu found her inexplicably familiar...
