At dusk, outside Wildfire City.
Ox carts lay piled haphazardly together. Wails and crying rose and fell, carrying through the cracks in the city walls and drawing curious looks.
The Icefield People busy rebuilding their homes quickly discovered the uninvited visitors beyond the walls. The news was soon reported to the Lord City Lord, the current backbone of Wildfire City.
When Xu Nan hurried over, he discovered that apart from Mulu Viscount and his three hundred-odd soldiers, there was no one else.
"Didn't you say they had a Legend?"
Xu Nan looked at Jiang Yuanchi in confusion, wondering whether Senior Jiang had intended to give him some kind of surprise.
He had examined those soldiers. Their bodies clearly bore traces of powerful electrical currents.
Xu Nan was confident he had not misjudged that. After all, he was a man who had experienced it firsthand many times.
Jiang Yuanchi's little face was equally full of bewilderment.
After pondering for a moment, she said seriously, "Maybe their Legend betrayed them."
Their Legend had betrayed them...
The corner of Xu Nan's mouth twitched slightly.
Just as he was about to refute Jiang Yuanchi's bizarre conclusion, he caught sight of a dark shadow from the corner of his eye.
He was immediately alert, then relaxed.
"So that's how it is..."
Xu Nan easily leaped down from the city wall with the aid of a minor spell.
"Watch out for a trap!" Jiang Yuanchi was clearly still fixated on the enemy's Legend. She rode her magic carpet after him.
"It's fine. It should be a misunderstanding."
Xu Nan signaled for the others not to follow, then headed alone with Jiang Yuanchi into the small woods beside the main road.
Before long, he indeed saw that familiar figure.
The Tattooed Warrior, Charles!
"You really came."
