After the explosion subsided.
Keldeo emerged from the smoke, looking rather bedraggled.
It looked battered, but with the constitution of a Mythical Pokémon, it was still far from being Out of Battle.
Keldeo had not Gigantamaxed when Leafeon struck with that sword attack. Even with its Ability preventing reduced effectiveness, the move had been powerful, but not enough to one-shot Keldeo.
But none of that mattered to Keldeo now.
As the rightful heir to the Swords of Justice—self-proclaimed, at least—it had been utterly crushed in the field it excelled at most. Only heaven knew how frustrated Keldeo felt.
The only consolation was what it had heard from Yegor: Leafeon's "great achievement" might even surpass those of its three masters.
Even so, the little water horse was combative by nature and carried lofty dreams. It did not want to admit defeat just like that.
It still had sword techniques of its own that Leafeon definitely had not seen!
Keldeo overcame its gloom in mere seconds. Raising its forehooves, it let out a neigh and charged at Leafeon once more, hooves clattering.
Leafeon admired its Guts. With the intention of testing it a little, Leafeon began exchanging blows with Keldeo.
After all, its Sword Path had begun with Virizion. Even if it was not the same Virizion, there was still a faint thread of "karma" between them.
This time, Leafeon used the move it excelled at most: Leaf Blade.
Compared to Giant Beast Slash or sword techniques that imitated Sacred Sword, Leaf Blade was Leafeon's foundation. It could even be called its special "Signature Move."
Nearly all of Leafeon's abilities had been developed around Leaf Blade.
It could be said that only when Leafeon used Leaf Blade was it truly serious.
For a time, Sword Light blazed fiercely.
Leafeon and Keldeo crossed
