Legend had it that 2,500 years ago, the Unova Region was founded by a pair of twins and a divine dragon. The elder brother pursued truth, while the younger brother pursued ideals.
Because their goals differed, the brothers' disagreement gradually widened until it eventually became war. The divine dragon also split into Reshiram of truth and Zekrom of ideals.
The war was evenly matched. Neither Reshiram nor Zekrom could defeat the other, and both exhausted their strength. In the end, the twin heroes realized their mistake, ended the war, and peace returned.
However, after the twin brothers passed away, their sons rekindled the flames of war. Enraged, Reshiram and Zekrom burned the Unova Region to ashes with fire and lightning before disappearing without a trace.
Kyurem's legend was vastly different from those of Reshiram and Zekrom. According to Lacunosa Town's legend, another Dragon Stone fell from the sky in ancient times and landed in Giant Chasm, transforming into Kyurem. Kyurem would appear in towns at night alongside the cold wind, abducting people and Pokémon for food. The residents of Lacunosa Town therefore built high walls around the town and imposed a curfew to defend against it.
However, according to Drayden of Opelucid City in the games, Kyurem's legend had another completely different version. Legend had it that Kyurem was the empty shell left behind after Reshiram and Zekrom split apart. A pair of DNA Splicers passed down through Drayden's family for generations were items related to Kyurem, and the DNA Splicers were as old as Dragon Spiral Tower. The DNA Splicers could allow Kyurem to absorb Reshiram or Zekrom and fuse into White Kyurem or Black Kyurem.
No matter how the legends described it, in the Black and White games and the animated films before Su Hao's transmigration, Dragon Spiral Tower most likely contained the [Light Stone] and [Dark Stone] formed by the divided Dragon God.
However, Spiral Secret Realm had already been searched countless times. Perhaps the stones formed by the two divine dragons, if they had ever been there, had long since been taken by unknown people.
The next day was sunny, perfect for an expedition.
Su Hao stood in line at the toll station outside the passage to Spiral Secret Realm.
Spiral Secret Realm, which had been thoroughly explored by the Pokémon League, had been completely opened to the public in recent years.
As long as one's strength met the requirements, one could buy a ticket and enter.
Carbink's apparent level was only that of a newly entered Normal Level Pokémon. It had qualified to enter solely because Su Hao's father had lent him a Professional Level Pokémon to serve as a bodyguard.
Pokémon: [Arcanine] Type: [Fire-type] Gender: [♀] Ability: [Flash Fire] Level: [56] Item: [Charcoal] Moves: [Bite, Flame Wheel, Agility, Fire Fang, Crunch, Flamethrower, Play Rough, Flare Blitz, Thunder Fang, Fire Spin, Snarl, Quick Attack, Sunny Day, Psychic Fangs, Rest, Sleep Talk, Will-O-Wisp, Wild Charge, Close Combat, Morning Sun, Dragon Rage]
As a Gym Leader, the Pokémon in Su Hao's father's hands could not all be Gym Level in strength if he wanted to deal with enemies of varying power.
Arcanine was one of the Pokémon in Su Hao's father's second echelon. As a Pokémon personally raised by the Gym Leader of the Eighteen Major Types, it was more than enough to protect Su Hao in Spiral Secret Realm, where even the strongest overlord was only Professional Level.
Soon, it was Su Hao's turn. After handing the staff member the certificate Su Hao's father had asked a friend to arrange for him, Su Hao was allowed inside shortly afterward.
After passing through the ticket gate, Su Hao entered the room containing the Space Channel leading into Spiral Secret Realm.
The Space Channel was a circular vortex five meters in diameter.
Though it was inside the room, the channel connected to a wilderness forest.
Crossing through the channel, Su Hao felt a slight sense of weightlessness before arriving at the destination of this trip—Spiral Secret Realm.
He landed on a plain outside the forest.
Since humans had begun exploring Secret Realms, as long as they did not enter at the exact same time, the landing locations of any two entries were random. One might land near a mine vein worth a fortune, or right at the doorstep of a Secret Realm overlord.
Because of these random landing locations, the first group of people to explore Secret Realms had all suffered losses to varying degrees.
The moment he landed, Su Hao released Carbink from its Poké Ball. He then spread his Wave Power across a five-meter radius around himself, remaining alert for an attack that could come at any moment.
The Pokémon inside Secret Realms were unlike those in the outside world. They had very little contact with humans, and the primitive law of the jungle still prevailed here: the weak were prey to the strong. Most Pokémon here were highly aggressive.
Using only his eyes, Su Hao found no trace of Pokémon near the plain.
The purpose of entering the Secret Realm this time was to battle. After briefly considering it, Su Hao used Wave Power to tell Carbink to prepare to explore the forest ahead.
One human and two Pokémon slowly entered the forest.
As soon as they entered the forest, sounds rose from all directions.
The cries of unknown bird Pokémon came from overhead, while roars from battles between unidentified Pokémon echoed ahead.
With his Wave Power fully spread around him as he explored forward, a Pokémon soon entered Su Hao's sensing range.
It was a small mouse Pokémon with brown skin. Its long white-tipped tail stood upright, while its large red-and-yellow eyes warily watched its surroundings.
This Pokémon was called Tandem Mouse.
Pokémon: [Tandem Mouse] Type: [Normal] Gender: [♂] Ability: [Keen Eye] Level: [8] Moves: [Tackle, Leer, Bite, Endure]
This Tandem Mouse was just right for Litten to practice on.
After signaling the attack-ready Carbink to fall back, Su Hao threw Litten's Poké Ball.
"Meowr~!" Litten's red-and-black body landed on the ground, its eyes fixed tightly on Tandem Mouse.
"Squeak, squeak, squeak!" Sensing the threat, Tandem Mouse dropped onto all fours and assumed a threatening posture.
Seeing that even a tiny mouse dared threaten him, Litten felt that his dignity as a feline Pokémon had been challenged.
"Meowrraow!"
An invisible ripple swept past, and Tandem Mouse, which had just been holding its threatening pose, suddenly went rigid.
Seeing that Litten's Intimidate Ability had taken effect, Su Hao naturally would not miss this opportunity. He immediately ordered Litten to approach Tandem Mouse and attack with Payback.
Still frightened and unable to recover, Tandem Mouse could not react in time. It could only watch helplessly as a black-and-red shadow flashed past before losing consciousness.
Seeing Tandem Mouse defeated by Litten without any effort, Su Hao approvingly patted Litten's head and took a spicy Energy Cube from his backpack as a reward.
After praising Litten, Su Hao briefly treated the awakened Tandem Mouse's wounds, then continued exploring with Litten and Carbink.
