A cheerful voice rang out from beyond the door.
In the center of the dojo, a burly humanoid tiger sitting cross-legged interrupted its meditation. Its tiger eyes slowly opened.
A flicker of helplessness and speechlessness passed through them.
In the past, Incineroar would have already slapped that persistent nuisance outside.
But recently, its self-restraint had improved, and it ultimately suppressed the impulse.
It rose directly to its feet, but instead of responding to the person outside right away, it silently walked to a wooden cabinet in the corner of the dojo. From within, it took out a small, adorably designed scratching board that completely clashed with its broad-shouldered, muscular appearance.
Incineroar carefully retracted its claws, leaving only the tiniest tips exposed.
The tiger paw that could smash apart a mountain with a full-force strike landed gently on the scratching board. It merely rubbed against it lightly, then stopped with a pained expression before it had even scratched off much paper.
That action calmed Incineroar down a little more.
Whenever it missed Su Hao or encountered a difficult problem, aside from seeking out the all-purpose Psychic Doraemon, it generally used this sort of action to soothe its emotions.
It was precisely because that persistent fellow outside visited so frequently that Incineroar had been forced to bring out its precious treasure.
Although Incineroar had always maintained it carefully, the scratching board in its paws was the last one Su Hao had left behind. Every use hurt its heart.
It had also reluctantly given a few others to Zeraora, who was currently training elsewhere. It wondered whether that little cat had been cherishing them properly.
Compared to ten years ago, Incineroar's eyes now held more steadiness and less wild defiance.
After all, it now held an official
