Not long ago, I received a mission jointly issued by the Council's Twelve Elders.
The mission was to infiltrate Shuizhou City, protected by that hateful barrier, stir up chaos, then take advantage of that chaos to place a key item at the center of the barrier and wait for it to infect the three Guardian Deities of the Water Capital who hindered the spread of darkness.
Even though the difficulty of this mission was beyond imagination, and the Guardian Deities of the Water Capital were so powerful that my Pokémon likely could never reach such heights even in their entire lives.
To me, however, this was the highest honor.
The Water Capital, Shuizhou City, was currently in the midst of the Infinity Festival. No matter how strict the restrictions were, loopholes were bound to appear.
Thanks to the formation of the World Federation and the Divine Land Federation, a foreigner like me from another Pokémon League no longer stood out so much.
I successfully slipped into the city on the second day of the Infinity Festival. Following the Council Elders' instructions, I traveled between the city's various tourist attractions like an ordinary visitor.
To be honest, I didn't really understand the significance of such behavior.
But since the Elders had demanded it, they surely had their reasons.
