Flowing Water Dojo

After completing his spending target for the day, Su Hao headed to his second destination—Flowing Water Dojo.

The Flowing Water Dojo was the hereditary dojo of his friend, Jiang Chengcheng's family. It specialized in a style of boxing that flowed without end like water, each strike stronger than the last.

Su Hao had come to study under a master, though he was not here to learn the dojo's boxing techniques, but Wave Power.

A few days ago, Su Hao had confessed to his parents and his two closest friends that he had suddenly awakened Wave Power.

Unlike Su Hao's excited parents, Jiang Chengcheng had asked in their three-person chat whether he needed her family to make an introduction. As it happened, an Aura Master from the Divine Land Alliance would be visiting the Flowing Water Martial Arts Hall for an exchange in a few days.

Ever since the system had awakened Su Hao's Wave Power, his Aura had been growing every moment. In the half month since his awakening, it had already become more than twice as strong as it had been at the start.

Although Su Hao had figured out techniques such as using Aura to investigate his surroundings and Telepathy on his own, he still lacked systematic knowledge.

Su Hao's father and mother had said they would seek out an Aura Master and obtain a manual for him. However, after they made contact and Jiang Chengcheng helped arrange things, Su Hao learned that an Aura Master would be visiting the Flowing Water Dojo today.

Su Hao's purpose was simple: to obtain an introductory guide. After all, the lineage of Aura Masters had been passed down for so long; it surely possessed something unique.

Upon arriving at the Flowing Water Dojo, Su Hao gave Jiang Chengcheng a call.

Soon, Jiang Chengcheng, dressed in training clothes, led Su Hao into the dojo.

At that moment, an elderly man with graying hair but a vigorous spirit was exchanging blows with a burly, heavily muscled man on the arena inside the dojo.

The old man's boxing flowed endlessly, advancing layer by layer, leaving the burly man with no choice but to defend passively or dodge his attacks.

What was rather remarkable was that the burly man had his eyes closed.

Presumably, this burly man was the Aura Master.

Even with his eyes shut, he could grasp every movement around him. Moreover, Su Hao could also "see" Aura spreading through the space within three meters around the man through his own Aura.

Passive defense had its limits. Even with Aura assisting him, after the old man deliberately created an opening and lured him in, the burly man was still defeated.

"I lost, I lost. As expected, Elder Jiang, you're still as formidable as ever. Even with Aura assisting me, I'm no match for you."

The burly man sat on the ground. Though he had lost, there was no disappointment on his face. Instead, he gave a hearty laugh.

"In a few more years, this old man won't even be able to walk. The future still belongs to you young people." Elder Jiang shook his head, unconcerned by his victory.

The two chatted on the arena for a while before Elder Jiang invited the burly man to the reception room.

After the two entered the reception room beside them, Jiang Chengcheng led Su Hao in as well.

Elder Jiang and the burly man were sitting in chairs, leisurely sipping tea.

When Elder Jiang, holding a teacup, saw Jiang Chengcheng and Su Hao enter, his half-lidded eyes lit up. He immediately beckoned them over.

"Little Su, come over here!"

Once Su Hao and Jiang Chengcheng reached Elder Jiang, he introduced them to the burly man beside him.

"Little Qin, these two are my granddaughter Jiang Chengcheng and Chengcheng's friend, Su Hao."

"Today, I have one more matter to ask of you. Su Boy recently awakened Wave Power and wants to learn from you."

"Chengcheng, Little Su, this man is Qin Gang, the foremost Aura user in our Pokémon League."

"Hello." Qin Gang nodded to the two of them, while Su Hao and Jiang Chengcheng bowed.

Looking at Su Hao, Qin Gang said, "Since Elder Jiang introduced you, I won't refuse."

"Let's get straight to the point. What do you want to learn from me?" Qin Gang asked Su Hao.

Since Qin Gang was so direct, Su Hao did not beat around the bush and told him his thoughts plainly.

"I see. You want to learn techniques for using Aura from me, correct?"

"Yes." Su Hao nodded.

"Then let me first tell you about the history of Aura." Qin Gang's expression turned serious.

"Aura is one manifestation of spiritual energy. Both humans and Pokémon possess Aura. For example, the Lucario family are experts at using Aura."

"The Aura Power possessed by most humans is weaker than that of Pokémon. For instance, even when I release my Aura with all my strength, it can only extend two meters around me. Nor can I turn Aura into Aura Bullets to attack like Pokémon can."

"The founder of our Aura Clan could once use Aura Bullets like Pokémon, and his physical strength was so great that he could fight Machamp hand-to-hand."

"Unfortunately, it has been a long time since anyone has cultivated Aura to such a powerful level."

"I am currently the most talented member of my family's Aura School. At my age, I can already spread Aura across the two-meter area around me, and I can perceive every slightest movement within those two meters."

"Now that the historical background is out of the way, Su Boy, would you mind showing me your Aura?" Qin Gang was very curious about the strength of this self-awakened youth's Aura.

Most members of their clan awakened Aura because of targeted training from childhood and various techniques, which was how the Aura Clan came to be.

When Qin Gang had first learned that Su Hao had awakened Aura on his own, he had been extremely excited. However, years of training had allowed him to keep his emotions from showing on his face. Otherwise, he would have long since lost his composure and grabbed Su Hao to make him join the Aura School.
