Learning of the Zygarde Cells' existence reassured him greatly. First, aside from Reshiram, there was finally another presence capable of having his back in every respect. Second, Zygarde was likely somewhere in the world right now, silently protecting the ecosystem.

Zygarde was the overseer of order. If the unsealed Yveltal brought excessive death into this world, it would not stand idly by.
