Ch. 401Training Mission: Border Patrol

Su Hao joined a three-person student squad for a week of training at Snowfield Base, where Chief Instructor He Jie assigned them a border patrol mission. Su Hao’s team headed for Freezing Point Snowfield, while Giovanni learned that an unknown force had disrupted Team Rocket’s plans.

  • He Jie introduced the training mission and assigned the students to teams led by Snowfield Base instructors.
  • Su Hao, Zhao Yunlan, and Xia Xiaoguang met their instructor, Xiao Yan, who explained the risks and rules of their border patrol assignment.
  • The squad left Snowfield Base with survival gear and traveled toward the Freezing Point Snowfield near the Divine Land Alliance border with the Maozi Country Alliance.
  • Su Hao released Hisuian Braviary for reconnaissance, while Zhao Yunlan and Xia Xiaoguang prepared their Pokémon for protection alongside Xiao Yan’s Emboar.
  • Musashi, Kojiro, and Meowth told Giovanni that they had intervened in a Team Rocket operation, and Giovanni praised them while ordering them to continue their work.
  • After the trio left, Giovanni suspected that someone behind the scenes was responsible for the Mt. Moon and World Tree incidents.

Ch. 402Freezing Point Snowfield

Su Hao, Zhao Yunlan, Xia Xiaoguang, and Instructor Xiao traveled from Starting Snowfield into Freezing Point Snowfield, relying on Hisuian Braviary to scout. The group was surrounded by a large Weavile pack, and Su Hao discovered that the Pokémon had been hiding beneath the snow.

  • Su Hao used Aura to demonstrate his Special Ability, and Xiao Yan assigned the group their wilderness roles.
  • Su Hao and the others left Starting Snowfield and traveled north toward Freezing Point Snowfield under Hisuian Braviary’s scouting.
  • After two and a half hours, the group reached Freezing Point Snowfield, where Xiao Yan guided them through the unfamiliar terrain.
  • Xiao Yan noticed the area had been unusually quiet, then a piercing cry alerted the group to danger.
  • Su Hao spotted over twenty Sneasel and more than ten Weavile surrounding them, and learned they had concealed themselves beneath the snow.

Ch. 403Weavile: This One's Tough, Let's Get Out of Here

Su Hao and the others fought off a Weavile pack and reached the border patrol line. After Diancie built them a shelter, the group reacted to its Late Professional Level aura as the snowfall grew heavier.

  • Su Hao identified the Weavile pack’s strongest members and used Aura Bullets while Hisuian Braviary stirred up a snowstorm, helping the others strike first.
  • The Weavile leader decided the group was too tough and led the pack in retreat.
  • The four travelers reached the border patrol line after working together through encounters with wild Pokémon.
  • Su Hao released Diancie, which created a large Rock Tomb shelter with Late Professional Level aura.
  • Xiao Yan noticed that the snowfall had grown heavier along their route.

Ch. 404A Cry for Help

A Blizzard cut off Xiao Yan's patrol group from the base, but a garbled radio call for help prompted Su Hao to organize a search. The chapter ended with Su Hao planning to search from the air while Xiao Yan, Zhao Yunlan, and Xia Xiaoguang searched together on the ground.

  • Xiao Yan said the Blizzard had disabled their radio as the group sheltered in a Rock Tomb.
  • Xiao Yan reached another radio channel and heard an intermittent plea for help mentioning spheres, explosions, and fireworks.
  • The group debated whether the call was genuine and whether searching without coordinates was too dangerous.
  • Xiao Yan decided to search alone, but Su Hao stopped him and asked whether the group had a second radio.
  • Su Hao proposed searching from the air while Xiao Yan, Zhao Yunlan, and Xia Xiaoguang searched on the ground and relayed any coordinates.

Ch. 405Fireworks Show in the Blizzard

Su Hao searched for the source of a distress call by flying through the blizzard on Hisuian Braviary and scanning with Aura. He found injured people and Pokémon, then encountered a Fire- and Ghost-type Ultra Beast, Guzzlord, whose explosive attack they barely survived with Protect.

  • Su Hao explained that his Aura could search through the blizzard and took Xiao Yan’s walkie-talkie before flying out on Hisuian Braviary.
  • Su Hao scanned the Freezing Point Snowfield, found no humans there, and extended his search into a snowy valley.
  • Su Hao detected humans and Pokémon, but Hisuian Braviary warned him when a decorated white sphere appeared in front of them.
  • The sphere turned out to be Guzzlord, which exploded; Su Hao and Hisuian Braviary used Protect to survive the blast.
  • Guzzlord drifted down onto its clown-like body near several unconscious Pokémon and four injured humans, while Su Hao recognized the Ultra Beast.

Ch. 406Ultimate Beast Guzzlord

Su Hao encountered Guzzlord, an Ultra Beast whose Beast Boost had raised its strength to Gym Level after it defeated a student team. While Diancie lured Guzzlord away, Su Hao and his Pokémon began rescuing the buried humans and injured Pokémon.

  • Su Hao found four badly injured humans and dozens of defeated Pokémon beneath the snow after Guzzlord attacked them.
  • Su Hao sent Diancie to challenge Guzzlord and assigned Incineroar, Milotic, and Lucario to help rescue the victims.
  • Diancie contained Guzzlord's explosive head inside a Diamond Storm and drew the enraged Ultra Beast away from the injured.
  • Su Hao ordered Incineroar and Lucario to dig out the humans while Milotic used Aqua Ring to keep them alive, and he began treating the injured Pokémon.

Ch. 407Target Containment!

Su Hao rescued and treated the injured Trainers and Pokémon in Snowy Stream Valley while Diancie fought Guzzlord overhead. The chapter ended with Diancie defeating Guzzlord and returning unharmed.

  • Su Hao sent Metang to gather scattered Poké Balls and used Tokiwa Power and Wave Power to heal a badly injured Gardevoir and the other Pokémon.
  • Su Hao returned to Incineroar, Lucario, and Milotic, who were keeping four injured people warm, and began treating them, starting with the girl whose arm was badly damaged.
  • Su Hao reassured Lucario that he trusted Diancie to win, and Lucario privately admitted to feeling a little jealous of her.
  • Su Hao stabilized all four people, returned their Pokémon to their Poké Balls, and sensed that Diancie was still in good condition.
  • Diancie struck Guzzlord down with Diamond Storm and descended without a scratch.

Ch. 408I'm Sorry, I Soloed It

Su Hao finally captured Guzzlord after more than a hundred Great Balls had failed, then told the rescued Snowfield Base instructor that he had defeated it alone. Zhang Feng woke with his injuries healed and learned that Su Hao had come in response to the distress signal; he remained stunned by Su Hao’s claim.

  • Su Hao prepared to summon Latios and Latias after his Great Balls repeatedly failed to capture Guzzlord.
  • Lucario warned Su Hao that the injured people were waking, and a Great Ball rolled beside Guzzlord and captured it successfully.
  • Su Hao recalled his Pokémon and went to check on the four injured people, who had been protected by Lucario.
  • Zhang Feng woke up, asked Lucario whether it had saved them, and then panicked about Xue Ting’s injuries.
  • Su Hao explained that he had healed Zhang Feng and the students, captured the Pokémon that attacked them, and arrived after hearing their distress signal.
  • Zhang Feng realized Su Hao claimed to have defeated the powerful Pokémon alone and reacted in disbelief.

Ch. 409Reporting In, and Su Hao the Medic

After Su Hao rescued Zhang Feng and three college students from Guzzlord, he attended a classified Alliance meeting about the Ultra Wormhole and the threat of Ultra Beasts. He then learned that He Jie wanted him to treat a teammate’s injured Pokémon before a mission to capture Poachers.

  • Su Hao learned that Guzzlord had emerged from an Ultra Wormhole during Zhang Feng’s patrol in Snowy Stream Valley.
  • Su Hao confirmed that the rescued students were safe and that reinforcements were on their way.
  • Zhao En reported Su Hao’s actions at a classified meeting attended by Alliance leaders and officials.
  • Mu Jianguo assigned officials to improve Ultra Beast preparedness and ordered research institutes to study the captured specimen and develop an Ultra Wormhole warning system.
  • Zhao En thanked Su Hao and told He Jie to provide him with whatever accommodations he needed.
  • He Jie asked Su Hao to heal a teammate’s seriously injured Pokémon before a mission to capture Poachers at Temple Ruins.

Ch. 410My Dad Is...

Su Hao healed Fang Tian’s Froslass and learned that poachers were hiding in the Temple Ruins of Crown Snowfield. Hoping to investigate the ruins and meet Calyrex, he secured permission to join He Jie’s mission.

  • Su Hao used his Life Energy to heal Froslass, whose severe wounds were fully restored in less than an hour.
  • Fang Tian thanked Su Hao and explained that poachers had attacked Froslass’s clan years ago and recently injured Froslass again; it had returned with their location in the Temple Ruins.
  • Su Hao wondered whether Calyrex was in the Temple Ruins and asked He Jie to let him join the mission to capture the poachers.
  • He Jie objected, but Su Hao argued that he had caught a Late Professional Level Ultra Beast and could protect himself.
  • Su Hao showed He Jie a message from Zhao En approving his participation, and explained that his father knew the commander-in-chief.

Ch. 411Poacher: I Felt Like I Was Fighting an Army

Su Hao supported Snowfield Base’s soldiers on their climb to the Temple Ruins, healing injured Pokémon and speeding their journey. The soldiers surrounded the poachers’ hideout and launched an attack, leaving Miana’s group overwhelmed by their opponents’ relentless fighting.

  • Su Hao joined the poacher capture mission and accompanied dozens of Snowfield Base soldiers toward the Temple Ruins.
  • Su Hao healed Jynx and other injured Pokémon along the route, helping the soldiers reach the woods near the ruins far ahead of schedule.
  • At the Temple Ruins, Miana’s poachers prepared to raid a colony of Snorunt, Glalie, and Froslass after believing Snowfield Base had not detected them.
  • Snowfield Base surrounded the ruins and sent a six-person team inside, whose Pokémon quickly wore down the poachers despite being outmatched in strength.

Ch. 412Support Big Daddy

Su Hao supported the border defense squad with Tokiwa Power while Reshiram explained that Ultra Beasts came from other universes. As Miana realized Su Hao was the source of the enemy’s staying power, she sent a captured Weavile to attack him.

  • Su Hao healed the Pokémon in Chief Instructor He Jie’s squad from a distance as they fought Miana’s group.
  • Reshiram told Su Hao that Ultra Beasts came from other universes and that the strongest could rival legendary Pokémon.
  • Miana realized Su Hao’s healing was sustaining the Divine Land forces and decided to take him hostage.
  • Miana secretly sent her captured Weavile charging through the battlefield toward Su Hao.

Ch. 413Su Hao: Why Are You Sneak-Attacking Me?

Su Hao captured Miana’s poacher gang after knocking Weavile unconscious, then explored the Crown Snowfield temple and wondered what had happened to Calyrex. A strip of black-and-white cloth appeared on the withered tree, but Fang Tian could not see it.

  • Weavile tried to slash Su Hao, but Su Hao seized it and knocked it unconscious with an Aura Bullet.
  • Miana was escorted away in handcuffs and threatened to repay her grudge against Su Hao.
  • Su Hao examined the ruined temple and considered whether Calyrex had left Crown Snowfield or faded away after losing the people’s faith.
  • Fang Tian told Su Hao that the investigation found traces of the poachers’ stay and thanked him for helping prevent their escape.
  • Su Hao spotted a strip of black-and-white cloth hanging from the ancient tree, but Fang Tian said he could see only the bare tree.

Ch. 414Bonding Stirrup

Su Hao discovered that a mysterious cloth tied to an ancient tree was the Bonding Stirrup, then used Wave Power to view a Time Flower’s recorded memory. The vision ended with a woman identifying herself as Yana, the last priestess, and asking to meet the Great King of Abundance.

  • Su Hao confirmed that he alone among the guards could see the cloth, and Reshiram also saw it and sensed an unfamiliar power within it.
  • Su Hao used the system to identify the cloth as a Bonding Stirrup that let Calyrex merge with Glastrier or Spectrier.
  • He Jie and a young soldier found a strange flower bud, which Su Hao recognized as a Time Flower.
  • After the others left, Su Hao activated the Time Flower with his Wave Power and received its recorded vision in his mind.
  • The vision showed a veiled woman climbing to a sacred temple, where she called herself Yana, the last priestess, and requested an audience with the Great King of Abundance.

Ch. 415Fall of a Legend

Su Hao witnessed a vision of Calyrex’s final moments in the Land of Glacial Prison, where the dying King of Abundance refused to bond with Glastrier and Spectrier. As Calyrex began to dissolve, it looked toward Su Hao across time and space.

  • Yana presented Calyrex with a newly crafted Bonding Stirrup, while Glastrier and Spectrier inspected it.
  • Su Hao and Reshiram observed that Calyrex was gravely weakened and near death.
  • Calyrex praised Yana but returned to its throne without using the Bonding Stirrup.
  • Glastrier and Spectrier urged Calyrex to bond with them, but Calyrex refused and told them they were free to choose their own futures.
  • Calyrex said the Evil Dragon had been temporarily sealed, then began dissolving into golden motes and looked toward Su Hao across time and space.

Ch. 416Eyes That See the Future

Su Hao learned from a vision that Calyrex had died warning Spectrier and Glastrier about an imprisoned Evil Dragon, and he wondered whether it was Kyurem. After a week of training at Snowfield Base, Su Hao and his companions departed, while he planned to seek Grandpa Xia’s help with one of his Pokémon’s training.

  • Calyrex left the Bonding Stirrups on a tree, warned Spectrier and Glastrier not to seek the Evil Dragon, and faded away as the vision ended.
  • Su Hao removed the Bonding Stirrup from his System Backpack and questioned Reshiram about Kyurem and whether Kyurem could restore the original Dragon God by fusing their powers.
  • Reshiram said that she and Zekrom had become separate individuals and that forcibly fusing them would not bring the former Dragon God back.
  • Su Hao and his Pokémon trained during the following days, with Metang, Leafeon, Lucario, Milotic, and Hisuian Braviary making progress.
  • Su Hao decided to visit Grandpa Xia after returning home to ask for help with his Pokémon’s flames.
  • After a week at Snowfield Base, Su Hao and his companions left through the teleportation array, prompting some soldiers to cry at his departure.

Ch. 417Metang vs. Leafeon

Su Hao returned from the Crown Snowfield with Zhao Yunlan and Xia Xiaoguang in high spirits, then requested leave to train with former Fire-type Elite Four Xia Jie. The chapter ended with Metang battling Leafeon and being shocked when Leafeon’s Iron Tail cleaved through its Confusion.

  • Zhao Yun was surprised that Su Hao, Zhao Yunlan, and Xia Xiaoguang returned from the Crown Snowfield looking energetic and unharmed.
  • Zhao Yunlan and Xia Xiaoguang boasted about taking revenge on the Geometric Snowflake and Weavile packs with Su Hao’s help.

  • Su Hao watched Metang battle Leafeon, whose Iron Tail cleaved through Metang’s Confusion.

Ch. 418Leafeon's Sword

Leafeon defeated Metang in a sparring match by cutting through its powerful Psycho Cut with Leaf Blade. Metang was left shaken, while Su Hao considered how far Leafeon’s swordsmanship might eventually develop.

  • Metang attacked Leafeon with Psycho Cut and Magnetic Launch, but Leafeon dodged and summoned sunlight with Sunny Day.
  • Leafeon formed a Fire-type Weather Ball, but Metang enveloped its whole body in Psycho Cut and smashed through the attack.
  • Leafeon unleashed its permanently maintained three-layer Swords Dance and sharpened its Leaf Blade with the intent it had comprehended from Virizion’s Broken Horn.
  • Leafeon cut through Metang’s Psycho Cut and stopped its blade just short of Metang’s eyes, winning the match without injuring it.
  • Su Hao reflected that Leafeon’s swordsmanship could eventually trouble the R Institute.

Ch. 419City of Fighting, Ultra Ball Tier Promotion Match

Su Hao entered Yundu and matched with Tang Gang for an Ultra Ball Tier promotion match, a six-pick-four Doubles Battle. The chapter ended as both Trainers released their Pokémon and the battle began.

  • The referee started the match, and both Trainers released their Pokémon simultaneously.

Ch. 420True Dragon, Naturally a Little More True

After reaching Ultra Ball Tier Rank 5, Su Hao weighed his new Pokémon opportunities and took Incineroar to Grandpa Xia’s home for training. Incineroar chose to pursue its own strength, but learned that Su Hao would postpone the Blue Flare Seed it had hoped to receive.

  • Su Hao received an Ultra Ball Tier Rank 5 reward offering a Starter Pokémon and considered whether to use it alongside his Dragon Cave capture opportunity.
  • Su Hao headed to Grandpa Xia’s home with Incineroar, which wanted to strengthen itself and keep pace with its teammates.
  • Su Hao explained that Reshiram’s Blue Flare might not suit Incineroar and warned that choosing its training path could make things difficult.
  • Incineroar committed to training in Magnetic Field Manipulation, flame sublimation, Dual-wielding, and Grandpa Xia’s methods.
  • Su Hao told Reshiram not to condense a Blue Flare Seed yet, leaving Incineroar regretting that it had talked itself out of the chance.
