Chapter Summaries

After Jiang Yueluo’s parents reported him missing, Su Hao learned from his system that the New Star Organization had abducted him and headed for the shrine where he had been found before. Suspecting the criminals wanted to reach Celebi, Su Hao set out to rescue Jiang Yueluo while asking his father to alert the Alliance, and promised he had a powerful ally to protect him.

• Jiang Yueluo’s parents asked Su Hao to help find their missing son, and the system revealed that the New Star Organization had abducted him.
• Su Hao agreed to help without payment and asked Jiang Yueluo’s parents to mark the abandoned shrine on his map.
• Su Hao suspected the New Star Organization was targeting Celebi and headed toward the shrine to rescue Jiang Yueluo.
• Su Hao called Su Xu and told him the New Star Organization might be using the kidnapping as a diversion while the Alliance operated nearby.

Miao Yin’s Pokémon defeated an Elite Four-level Tyranitar, while Nightmare used Jiang Yueluo as bait to lure Celebi and killed Hailington, Meichuan Neiku, and their Pokémon when they tried to intervene. The chapter ended with Nightmare threatening to torture Jiang Yueluo unless Celebi appeared.

Nightmare used the New Star Organization’s Nightmare Energy launcher to corrupt Celebi and seize control of its power. With Celebi ordered to bring down the Secret Realm above Viridian Forest, Nightmare also had it gravely wound the unconscious Jiang Yueluo.

• Celebi emerged from a space-time channel, and its Leaf Storm was temporarily blocked by Nightmare’s Weavile and Scyther.
• Nightmare fired the launcher, and its Nightmare Energy overcame the Pokémon defending Celebi and struck it, turning Celebi black and placing it under the organization’s control.
• Celebi blasted away the Pokémon that had rushed to confront Nightmare, revealing the immense power the Nightmare Energy had given it.
• Nightmare ordered Celebi to kill Jiang Yueluo, and Celebi pierced Jiang Yueluo’s left chest with a small Hyper Beam despite its attempts to resist.
• Nightmare ordered Celebi to use its Time-Space Ripple to guide the Secret Realm above Viridian Forest down.

Miao Yin and Su Hao raced toward Viridian Forest after a mysterious force and an unknown Secret Realm appeared there. Articuno sensed that the Celebi in the forest was a newly born individual, but massive black ripples erupted before Su Hao could learn more.

• Miao Yin received an emergency call about the New Star Organization and prepared to leave Big Bird to help at a shrine.
• A huge Dark Pulse struck an invisible presence above Viridian Forest, and Miao Yin recognized that an unknown Secret Realm had appeared.
• Miao Yin assigned Li Qingyi to command the response and flew toward the forest on Salamence to stop the New Star Organization.
• Su Hao disguised himself, released Articuno, and flew with Her toward Viridian Forest.
• Articuno sensed that the Celebi was newly born and around Elite Four Level, and also detected a never-before-seen Secret Realm overhead.
• Massive black ripples burst from the forest and interrupted Su Hao as he wondered whether the Secret Realm was a small fragment.

Su Hao and Articuno reached the shrine to rescue Jiang Yueluo and stop the New Star Organization from making the Secret Realm descend. Articuno defeated Nightmare, while Su Hao found Jiang Yueluo unconscious inside the shrine.

• Articuno told Su Hao that the Elite Four Level Celebi could not force the Secret Realm above Viridian Forest to descend, and Su Hao spotted bloodied bodies near the shrine.
• Su Hao warned Articuno about Darkrai and prepared to call Latios and Latias if the enemy could match Articuno.
• Nightmare realized Celebi was too weak to destabilize the Secret Realm and cursed his failed plan to attack nearby cities.
• Articuno confronted Nightmare, resisted the transmitter's control energy, and told Su Hao to check on Jiang Yueluo.
• Nightmare ordered Celebi to attack Articuno, but Articuno froze both of them with Blizzard and shattered Nightmare with Air Slash.

Su Hao used Tokiwa Power to call on Viridian Forest and summon another Celebi to save the dying Celebi and heal Jiang Yueluo. The dying Celebi could not recover and was reborn as a Pokémon Egg of a different species.

• Su Hao found that Jiang Yueluo’s heart was on the right side, and Articuno froze him to slow his bleeding while Milotic used Aqua Ring to keep him alive.
• Articuno revealed that Celebi’s vitality had been drained by Alien Energy and that she could only delay its death.

• Articuno explained that Jiang Yueluo had recovered and that Little Celebi had reincarnated as an egg after its origin was badly damaged.

• Carbink emerged from her Luxury Ball, mourned the ruined land, and agreed to search for the dead tree stump where she had been born.

Su Hao and Celebi followed Carbink through a death-filled Secret Realm as her mutation rapidly advanced toward completion. They reached a small patch of greenery and the withered stump of Xerneas with Carbink’s mutation at 99%.

• Carbink led Su Hao and Celebi onward, glowing with pink radiance and golden Light as her transformation intensified.
• Celebi recognized the Light as the power it had once seen transform four island gods into giant golden forms.
• Su Hao tracked Carbink’s mutation as it accelerated and wondered why Zygarde had not intervened in the conflict between Xerneas and Yveltal.
• After traveling for hours through the lifeless Secret Realm, the group found a small patch of greenery and Xerneas’s withered stump.

Su Hao and Celebi discovered that Xerneas had given Carbink fragments of Her Authority, leaving Her too weak to oppose Yveltal. They used Carbink’s connection to the dead tree to try to awaken Xerneas, and Her faint voice finally answered.

• Carbink returned with Su Hao and found the protected area lifeless, with Xerneas still a dead tree.
• Celebi determined that the balance between Xerneas and Yveltal had been broken and found fragments of Xerneas’s Authority within Carbink.
• Carbink asked how she could help Xerneas, and Celebi proposed using her connection to Xerneas to awaken Her.
• Su Hao and Celebi combined their Tokiwa Power and used Su Hao’s Wave Power to link Carbink’s Authority fragments to the dead tree.

Su Hao, Celebi, and Carbink awakened Xerneas and learned that Carbink was born from Xerneas’s origin and given part of its Authority to protect her from Yveltal. Carbink chose to pursue her own path to becoming Diancie, and Su Hao planned to help her forge a unique Authority.

• Su Hao stopped channeling Wave Power after Xerneas’s consciousness awakened, and Xerneas warned them that Yveltal’s Power of Death would strike again.
• At Celebi’s request, Xerneas revealed that Carbink was her child, born from her origin, and that she had sent Carbink away with part of her Authority and Fairy Aura to protect her.
• Carbink asked how long Xerneas would sleep, then turned to Su Hao for help when Xerneas admitted she did not know.
• Su Hao confirmed that Xerneas’s Authority would not affect Carbink’s destined Mutation into Diancie and proposed that Xerneas take the Authority back.

Su Hao, Xerneas, and Celebi prepared to help Carbink complete her mutation while Xerneas remained in the Secret Realm to keep Yveltal contained. With Xerneas’s Fairy Aura and the Sparkling Stone’s [Light], Carbink began her Life Level Ascension and released a brilliant golden radiance.

• Xerneas restored its body and refused to leave the Secret Realm, explaining that it had to suppress Yveltal.
• Su Hao and Xerneas agreed that Carbink would absorb the Sparkling Stone’s remaining [Light] during her mutation.
• Su Hao brought Dragapult’s Pokémon Egg to witness the event while Celebi, Articuno, Incineroar, and Milotic watched over Carbink.
• Xerneas spread its Fairy Aura, and Carbink gathered pink Fairy Energy into a Light Cocoon as her mutation progressed for several hours.

Su Hao witnessed Carbink evolve into Diancie as his Dreepy hatched, and welcomed both new Pokémon to the team. Xerneas explained that Zygarde was not present in the Secret Realm, leaving Su Hao and Diancie to find a way to face the strengthened Yveltal themselves.

• Su Hao's Dreepy hatched as a shiny Pokémon and settled happily on his head, calling him Daddy.
• Xerneas supplied Life Energy to Carbink's cocoon, and Carbink emerged as Diancie.
• Diancie celebrated her evolution and chose to walk her own path rather than receive Xerneas's protection.
• Su Hao asked Xerneas why Zygarde had not responded to the shifting balance of power, and Xerneas said Zygarde was absent from the Secret Realm.

Su Hao learned how to create Life Energy after Celebi and Xerneas explained why their own energy could not safely revive Dragapult. He left with a method to infuse his Life Energy with Dragon-type and Ghost-type traits, along with guidance on how much to feed Dragapult each day.

• Su Hao told Celebi and Xerneas what Giratina had said, surprising them and Articuno with the revelation that Giratina had adopted a godson.
• Xerneas explained that His and Celebi's Life Energy could not perfectly revive Dragapult because its body needed energy with both Dragon-type and Ghost-type traits.

Su Hao learned that Diancie had gained the powerful Luminous Body Ability, though her Diancie Mega Stone was no longer compatible. After bidding farewell to Xerneas, Su Hao and Celebi prepared to leave the area, setting the story up for the National High School League.

• Hydreigon’s territory was devastated by vandals, and she and Haxorus were later defeated while seeking revenge in the human city.
• Su Hao left the Life and Death Secret Realm without alerting Yveltal, and Celebi departed after remarking on the melon.
• Su Hao told his father that he had befriended Articuno and helped it foil the New Star Organization’s plan, hiding his connection to Giratina.

• Su Hao grilled fish with help from Diancie, and Articuno accepted a serving after he invited her to taste it.
• Su Hao sensed an injured, Elite Four-level Hydreigon approaching and asked Articuno to watch over the group while Diancie confronted her.
• Hydreigon warned Diancie to move aside, but Diancie attacked with Diamond Storm.
• Diancie struck Hydreigon's existing wounds and knocked her into a crater, leaving her unable to get up for a while.
• Hydreigon saw Su Hao and the Pokémon gathered above her and asked if they could make peace.

Su Hao healed Hydreigon, learned why she hated humans, and followed her to a burned Berry forest. After using Life Energy to revive a Peachy Fruit Tree and make it bear fruit, he received a mission to restore the forest.
