  • Rongcheng First High School’s students defeated Yangcheng High School’s defenders, leaving Yangcheng with only Jiang Chengcheng, Li Hua, and Kong Lingwei able to fight.

Su Hao returned to the gymnasium and stepped in to represent Yangcheng High School against Rongcheng First High School, determined to punish their opponent for insulting his hometown. He sent Incineroar out to face Kong Mingliang’s Ninetales, and their battle began.

  • Su Hao broke the lock on the gymnasium’s back door and returned as Jiang Chengcheng prepared to battle.
  • Su Hao stopped Jiang Chengcheng and insisted on taking the next match himself after the opposing student mocked Yang City.
  • Su Hao used his special abilities to persuade Teacher Zhong to let him compete first and received a mission to win using only Incineroar.
  • The referee announced Su Hao as the challenger against Rongcheng First High School’s Kong Mingliang, who sent out Ninetales.

Su Hao had Incineroar defeat Kong Mingliang’s Flash Fire Ninetales with an overwhelming Sunny Day-boosted Flamethrower, then won the battle against Kong Mingliang’s remaining Pokémon. He claimed the arena and invited the next challenger from Rongcheng First High School.

Incineroar learned Thunder Punch under Pikachu and Magnezone’s guidance, allowing Su Hao to begin his plan for strengthening Incineroar through Lightning Body Tempering. The chapter left Incineroar poised to pursue an experimental training method using electrical currents and Life Energy.

  • Pikachu watched as Magnezone used a controlled low-voltage current to help Incineroar sense Electric energy.

Su Hao had Incineroar agree to train every day at Old Man Wang’s house with Pikachu and the others so he could master Thunder Punch. As Dragapult brought in hundreds of letters, Su Hao called Diancie and Milotic to help open them.

  • Su Hao considered how long it would take Incineroar to master Thunder Punch and asked whether he was willing to train at Old Man Wang’s house.

Su Hao reviewed his Pokémon’s training while weighing Miao Yin’s invitation to the Seed Plan, a tournament whose prize included entry to the Nirvana Secret Realm. Miao Yin called to reveal that the tournament would happen ahead of schedule, with its top Trainers representing the Divine Land Alliance in a contest against other Leagues for resources from a newly discovered Secret Realm.

  • Su Hao had Incineroar, Milotic, and Diancie demonstrate their week of training, with Diancie attacking while the other two tried to break through her defenses.
  • Su Hao considered the System Task to place in the Seed Plan Selection Tournament and earn a chance to enter the Nirvana Secret Realm.

After deciding to enter the early Pokémon competition, Su Hao prepared Dragapult’s food and flew from Rong City to Magic City. He avoided the city’s airborne Corviknight buses and headed for the crowded subway.
