"Seventh Spirit Detective Agency, Agent Mei Sheng."
"Agent Li Dahong."
"Agent Hu Nuannuan."
The three introductions rang out simultaneously through the living room, terrifying as hell, and each reached Tian Xiaolian's ears.
Why had Tian Xiaolian become a ghost?
Perhaps the answer was that it needed to serve as one of the clients for this mission.
With no time to think further, Mei Sheng knew time was pressing and immediately asked:
"What do you need? I'll help make it happen."
Tian Xiaolian still looked as it had before death. A line of bloody tears flowed from its deeply sunken eye sockets as it slowly raised a hand.
The hand holding the fruit knife pointed at the corpse on the floor, indicating a certain spot.
Mei Sheng slowly moved closer in the direction it pointed. The nearer she got, the more uncomfortable she felt.
The mingled scent of blood and flowers was intensely disorienting, leaving her mind somewhat sluggish.
Looking at the heavily decomposed corpse on the floor, she watched a maggot crawl out of one organ, only to immediately burrow back beneath the skin.
She turned back to compare Tian Xiaolian's pointing direction and finally settled on the side of the corpse.
"You mean the lungs?"
Tian Xiaolian could not speak or respond, but it lowered its raised hand.
That meant Mei Sheng had found the right place.
Mei Sheng had no idea where to begin with the two lungs. They had already rotted badly and been devoured by maggots, no longer resembling human organs at all.
If they were thrown into a garbage heap, they would be nothing more than two ignored pieces of rotten flesh.
"Get a body bag."
After instructing Li Dahong, Mei Sheng looked back at Tian Xiaolian and realized that it was not actually conscious.
