Luo Xian no longer looked like an immortal. She looked more like a ghost.
Vicious, hideous, terrifying, and deranged.
That face frightened Huangfu Jiajia into retreating step after step. Only when she bumped into Li Mochou did she recover her senses and ask in shock:
"Sister Luo, your... why has your face become like this?"
This was unmistakably Luo Xian, but the aura she now exuded had become utterly chaotic.
No expression could be discerned on that horrifying face. Her eyeballs rolled around, and her two rows of ghastly white teeth opened and closed as she spoke in a strange voice.
"Yong'an, get me a needle. My head is blocked. Help me clear it."
She squeezed her temples with her hands, thick blood sticking to her pale palms in a gruesome sight.
A moment later, her entire body shuddered. Suddenly, she began spinning in place as though she had gone mad, muttering incessantly:
"Huai Guang? Where did you go, Huai Guang? Come save me! My eyes... It's inside my eyes!"
With that, she spread all five fingers and began clawing at the outside of her eyeballs, as though she meant to gouge them out.
But strangely, those completely white eyeballs really seemed to be a pair of stones. No matter how she clawed or scratched them, she could do nothing to them.
Neither Huangfu Jiajia nor Li Mochou had ever witnessed anything like this. In their panic, they could no longer worry about anything else and could only rush over to restrain Luo Xian's hands by force.
Huangfu even gathered her into her arms, letting her struggle while gently patting her back to calm her down.
Li Mochou held Luo Xian's other hand and gave Huangfu a meaningful look, asking quietly:
"What's wrong with Manager Luo? Has she gone mad?"
