"Tong Guan..."
Chang Nian was neither truly alive nor truly dead. She hit the ground stiffly, and even the intestines hanging from her body were torn out.
Her entire face was nearly buried beneath her long hair. The look in her exposed eyes carried a difficult plea, mixed with all sorts of complicated emotions.
Tong Guan hurriedly climbed up from the ground. Ignoring the phone that had successfully captured the Raincoat Ghost, he approached Chang Nian in panic and tension.
But when his trembling, frantic hand touched Chang Nian's Hair Strands, it became incomparably gentle, lightly brushing aside the hair covering her face.
At last, he saw that bloodless, deathly pale face. It felt as though something had fiercely clenched his heart, and the fingertips tangled in her hair trembled faintly with heartache.
"It's okay. I'm here."
The iron wire still pierced through her neck, its tip close to her lips. Tong Guan gently stroked Chang Nian's cheek and smiled tenderly with his head slightly tilted.
But as he spoke, his other hand decisively thrust into her sliced-open abdomen, seized the vicious little thing inside, and yanked it out with all his strength.
"Ah!!!"
The little thing was bathed in Chang Nian's blood. Though it was only palm-sized, Tong Guan's broad, powerful hand gripped it firmly in his palm, naturally drawing out an incomparably shrill wail.
The scream was piercing and bizarre. Within the not-so-large Room 206, it produced waves of echoes that rippled back and forth, endlessly circling Tong Guan's ears.
Chang Nian suddenly groaned and curled up unnaturally. Yet under Tong Guan's soothing, she appeared even more pained.
Lying on the ground, she repeatedly raised her arms as though trying to reach for the infant that had been "born" from her stomach.
Seeing this, Tong Guan's expression displayed
