"Wei Guang? Wei Guang! Come here, quick!"

On the fifteenth floor, Wei Guang wandered through a seemingly endless stretch of corridors, the dim red lights casting an eerie crimson glow over his face.

After several minutes of wandering, he suddenly heard a cry of surprise mixed with urgency.

The abrupt voice made Wei Guang's heart clench. His steps naturally quickened, though he remained wary.

He recognized the speaker as Chen Binbin, one of the people he had come to find.

This excited Wei Guang. Until now, he had not seen a single person in any of the fifteenth-floor corridors, let alone a ghost.

To him, entering the fifteenth floor had been like stepping into an endless loop containing nothing but himself.

Chen Binbin's sudden appearance was certainly a good sign, but it also set his nerves on edge.

At last, something had changed.

Despite those thoughts, his steps involuntarily quickened further. He passed through the misty corridor and reached a room's door.

1518. It was a room farther inside, with a somewhat dim red light hanging outside, its filament burning crimson.

A barely open crack revealed a sliver of darkness. Chen Binbin's face, paler than a ghost's, was pressed against the gap, his eyes wide.

Wei Guang instinctively gripped his left sleeve. Before he could speak, the door opened farther, and a hand seized his wrist, yanking him inside.

He did not resist. Though the hand was cold, its palm was slick with sweat, proving that Chen Binbin was still alive.

The moment he entered room 1518, he shivered.

The room was so dark he could barely see anything. Only a howling, cold wind blew into his face from the east, as though all the windows were open.

Leaning against the back of the door, he initially dared not move.
