A pungent smell of tobacco filled the Game Room, wisps of smoke drifting before the screen.
Ji Li exhaled a smoke ring and looked at the four options before saying softly:
"Looks like you were right. The game and reality really do interact."
Ji Li had long anticipated this hidden rule.
Both the game and reality were situated in the Black and White Building, so this was the most likely scenario.
Either the game affected reality, reality affected the game, or they affected each other.
Although neither Ji Li nor Fang Shenyan had stated it before, both of them had realized this.
Fang Shenyan said nothing. He heard the hesitation in Ji Li's tone and left him in peace.
The instant Ji Li looked at the screen, he had already ruled out Options A and B.
First, there was no obvious danger in the Game World, but Fang Shenyan in the Real World had already been blocked inside by something at the door.
In other words, the ghost outside could break in at any moment.
Second, if Ji Li did nothing, not only would he be unable to resolve Fang Shenyan's predicament, but he would also trap himself in this tiny room.
Ruru's House was only Act One, merely the beginning of the game.
He had to get out.
Finally, a ghost blocking the door was never a good thing.
A soft approach would do nothing but put him in a difficult position. He would become a turtle trapped in a jar, effectively handing over his life.
Ji Li would never do such a thing.
That left C and D, the two seemingly proactive options that made him hesitate.
In truth, given his personality, neither option was the right path.
Option C was a decision too stupid for words.
