After a moment's hesitation, he followed the hint from Item B and took out pen and paper.

Twisted lines appeared across the ruled page as he marked down the rhythm of each knock.

Ji Li could not tell whether he had recorded the complete sequence, so this took him a long time.

When the pattern on the page repeated for the first time, he finally stopped writing.

By then, seven wavy lines covered the page.

Ji Li held the page and studied it for a long time, but he still could not see what information it conveyed.

The knocking outside continued, repeating the same pattern over and over.

He studied it for ages without finding the clue he needed.

Judging by the description of the Third Choice, the character in the game should be someone who knew Ruru's House well.

And given the prophetic nightmare, that character was most likely Ruru himself.

From that perspective, "Ruru" in Item B should recognize something on the page.

That recognition would make him remember something and rush back to the Bedroom.

Ji Li studied the page again and again. If he could make no sense of the seven lines, perhaps his only option was to return to the Bedroom.

He turned around slowly, troubled by the prospect.

The Bedroom was not large, but it was not tiny either.

With no lead at all, was he really going to search the whole room?
