The girl's skin was the same color as the white jade-like tub.
Floating in the overflowing bloody water, she looked like a lone lily blooming among roses.
Her eyes were the same color as the water. No whites remained; bloodred veins had claimed them entirely.

Just then, sensing something, he turned toward the bathroom doorway.
A trail of blood footprints was there, but no one stood beside it.

Then there had been the unseen hand behind the flute music on the Thirteenth Floor, the one manipulating the severed shadows...

One look at those eyes was enough to make them impossible to forget.
