Background

Soul Hall is described as the most powerful overt force on the Dou Qi Continent. Its true backing comes from the Soul Clan, whose influence makes opposition to the hall especially dangerous. While the hall operates openly through Protectors, Venerables, and regional branches, its central purpose is the capture and refinement of souls. 110 147

Northwest Continent Operations

Soul Hall Protectors are already known to be lurking around the Misty Cloud Sect before the organization openly enters the conflict with Lin Che. 3

A Human Protector captures a Rank 6 Alchemist’s soul in the Black Corner Region, prompting Lin Che to intervene. The Protector escapes the initial encounter but is later killed by Lin Che, leading Soul Hall experts to begin an investigation. 69 71

Protector Wu subsequently approaches Lin Che with an offer to join Soul Hall, but attacks after being rejected. Wu uses captured souls to raise his combat strength before Lin Che kills him. 110 112 113

Pressure on the Misty Cloud Sect

Soul Hall maintains leverage over Yun Shan, having helped him rise from near death to his current strength. It uses this debt to force his cooperation and threaten the Misty Cloud Sect. 88 133

Protector Niu arrives to investigate Wu’s disappearance, orders Yun Shan to locate him, and threatens the sect’s destruction if he fails. Niu also demands Yun Yun be delivered to Soul Hall. 132 133

Lin Che intervenes and kills Protector Niu, leaving Yun Shan reliant on him for protection against future Soul Hall reprisals. 134

Venerable Qing Hai's Investigation

After the deaths of several Northwest Continent Protectors, Soul Hall dispatches the two-star Dou Venerate Qing Hai to investigate. Qing Hai encounters Yao Chen and attempts to seize both Yao Chen’s and Han Feng’s souls. 143

Qing Hai uses soul-fueled techniques against Lin Che but is defeated and killed by the final form of the Thirteen Sword Slashes of the Spirit Sword, God Slayer. 146

Lin Che later explains Soul Hall’s structure and threat to Jia Nan Academy, warning that the organization is likely to send further Dou Venerate-level investigators rather than immediately deploy its strongest forces. 147

Sacred Pill City Conflict

Soul Hall and the Soul Clan seek the Three Thousand Burning Flame in the Pill Tower’s Star Domain. Hun Yin attempts to recruit Lin Che, then turns hostile after being refused. 199 200

Hun Yin, Venerable Tengyun, and another Dou Venerate combine their techniques, Soul Lamps, and Life Soul Locks to subdue Lin Che and seize the Heavenly Flame. Their combined soul technique temporarily reaches low-level Half-Saint power. 201 203

Lin Che kills Hun Yin after the latter reaches the Half-Saint realm through a Berserk Beast Pill. The deaths of Hun Yin and other Soul Hall experts provoke a major retaliatory expedition. 206

Hun Miesheng personally leads Protectors, Venerables, and Heavenly Venerables to Sacred Pill City, demanding accountability for Hun Yin’s death. The force withdraws only after being confronted by Yan Jin of the Flame Clan. 207

Saint Hun Qing's Arrival

When Lin Che is believed to have fallen, Saint Hun Qing arrives at the Misty Cloud Sect two months later. He orders Yun Shan to capture Lin Che’s companions and expresses interest in taking Yun Yun. 219

Hun Qing ultimately uses the same soul-consuming skull technique seen among other Soul Hall elites before being killed by Lin Che. 222
