"Umehari, didn't you keep saying that you wanted to challenge Kenpachi and take the title of Kenpachi for yourself?"
Ailin turned slightly, revealing the division number on the back of his Captain's Haori for Umehari to see clearly.
"The one standing before you now is the Ninth Kenpachi, the current captain of the Eleventh Division, Ailin Kenpachi!"
"Souya Jōshirō was defeated by me long ago. The name 'Kenpachi' now rests upon me."
"Come. Let me see just what gives you the nerve to attack my division and cause nearly a hundred casualties among its members."
Hearing Ailin's words, Umehari glanced at Souya Jōshirō, only to find that although Souya Jōshirō's brows were slightly furrowed, he did not refute them.
In other words, this guy had really defeated Souya Jōshirō?
"Hahahaha! Good, good, good!"
Umehari laughed wildly. "Souya Jōshirō, I knew it all along. If Captain Kurayashiki had not yielded to you, what right did you have to call yourself 'Kenpachi' with your strength?"
"Sure enough, it hasn't even been that long, and you've already been defeated."
"You've truly disgraced Captain Kurayashiki. You are a disgrace to the title of 'Kenpachi'!"
Upon hearing that Souya Jōshirō had been defeated, Umehari stopped calling him Jushiro Genpachi and addressed him directly by name.
"Ailin Kenpachi, although I am grateful that you took Captain Kurayashiki's title back from that treacherous wretch, I still need to see for Captain Kurayashiki whether you are qualified to bear the name 'Kenpachi.'"
"Fight me. If you lose, I will personally kill you and reclaim the title of 'Kenpachi' once more!"
With that, Umehari waved his hand, and tens of thousands of blades surged toward Ailin like a flood.
Although this move had been useless when fighting Souya Jōshirō, against anyone else, it was an extraordinarily powerful killing technique.
