The deep sea was dark, vast, and boundless, but it was far from peaceful. Strange sounds, like eerie murmurs from a nightmare, came from the miraculous geological activity and the few deep-sea creatures active in this region. Hao Ren felt that the Data Terminal's deep-sea phobia was fake, but he might genuinely develop one himself—the pressure this damned place put on people was immense!

Boundless dark seawater pressed in from all directions. If not for the Siren's power, Hao Ren felt that even his Rigid Shield wouldn't last long under these conditions. He widened his eyes and followed the faint light ahead. After his vision had been enhanced, he could barely make out his surroundings in the dim glow emitted by the Data Terminal. He could now see what appeared to be the cargo compartment: a massive, indistinct rectangular prism tilted on the fine sand of the seabed. It was roughly a dozen meters long, with a width and height of around eight or nine meters. Apart from the parts completely buried beneath the sand, every vertex gave off a faint light, allowing the cargo container's condition to be seen more clearly. For now, things seemed fairly good—the container was intact, or at least hadn't fallen apart, and the faint lights showed that its backup power hadn't been completely depleted.

The cargo compartment lay on a relatively flat stretch of seabed, while the surrounding terrain sloped slightly. A huge trail could be seen on the slope, probably left when the cargo compartment had rolled during its "landing." After Hao Ren and Nangong May drew closer, they discovered that some strange little creatures had gathered beneath the compartment. Their bodies were flat and gave off a faint blue glow. They looked like squashed squid, each less than a dozen centimeters long.
