No matter how much he complained about the name, Hao Ren was quite satisfied with the speed of the Giant Turtle Rock Platform. It was more than a tier faster than civilian companies' transport ships—it took only an hour to fly back to the Solar System from over eight hundred light-years away. And that was after stopping to take pictures, slowing down to sightsee, and detouring to explore countless times along the way. The ship's speed was simply inconceivable. It could no longer be measured by "speed" alone. Once the faster-than-light engine started, it broke through this universe's light-speed barrier. Hao Ren didn't know whether traveling inside a spatial bubble could still be considered "traveling," but to him, it was practically teleportation.
This was only the Giant Turtle Rock Platform's cruising mode. In fact, the ship possessed true spatial-jump capabilities. It could jump between two worlds, as well as within a single universe. However, doing so required some charging time and placed an additional burden on the ship's power core. Thus, Raven 12345 advised Hao Ren that unless it was necessary, any journey that could be completed within a few hours should still be flown normally. The ship had to be kept in peak condition as much as possible to deal with genuine emergencies. That was a basic quality every captain had to possess.
Hao Ren would probably need a long time before he could become a true captain. At the very least, he would have to chew through the huge pile of theoretical material in the Data Terminal before he could be considered to have entered the field. Although he was technically the owner of the ship, in reality he was merely an ignorant figurehead. All he could do was set a destination after boarding, then leave everything else
