While Vivian ran off to cook, Hao Ren seized the opportunity to ask about the "Ancient Glorious Kingdom."
Perhaps it was that subtle sixth sense at work, or perhaps Raven 12345's intentional or unintentional arrangements had caused him to develop a subconscious interest in certain matters. In any case, Hao Ren felt that all the other information about the Day of Return was unimportant. Only the "Ancient Glorious Kingdom" was truly the key to everything—although it seemed the otherworldly beings themselves had not realized this.
Unfortunately, the two Eben elders knew little about the "Ancient Glorious Kingdom" beyond the vague fragments brought by the Siren, along with some unreliable guesses of their own at most.
"That's the view held by our clan. The Ancient Glorious Kingdom should refer to Mount Olympus and some other supernatural ruins from that era." Brufly was the more talkative of the two Eben elders, and he was quite willing to explain these matters to Hao Ren. "We've consulted many ancient texts and exchanged information with the satyr races in Europe and the Americas. We believe that the wondrous holy lands established by the otherworldly predecessors of ancient times are the only things worthy of being called a 'Glorious Kingdom.' Of course, some people have guessed that it refers to certain forbidden areas on Earth, such as the Demon Hunters' territory, but that theory lacks evidence and doesn't hold water."
Hao Ren looked into Brufly's eyes, weighing how to steer the conversation toward the Dream Plane without alarming him. In the end, he decided to probe indirectly. "By the way... what's your view on the origins of the otherworldly races?"
Brufly stared at Hao Ren in surprise. "I heard you were a wizard, but I didn't expect your field of study to be this?"
"Ahem, ahem..."
