Hao Ren and Vivian used all sorts of indirect questions to ask Becky and several of the mercenaries present whether this world had any deep-sea race resembling Sirens. Even legends would do. In the end, they finally got an unbelievable answer: there were no Sirens.
Raven 12345 had explicitly said that the nonhumans on Earth came from the Dream Plane, so Hao Ren naturally assumed that everyone in his household could openly reveal their races in the Dream Plane. He had never expected Nangong May to be the exception.
Vivian was asking the mercenaries in detail about the mountain path, while Hao Ren dragged Nangong May aside and muttered, "Looks like there really aren't any Sirens here. Then where did the Sirens on Earth come from?"
"How should I know?" Nangong May looked a little disgruntled. "I thought I'd finally found my homeland."
Hao Ren noticed that the Siren girl seemed to be in low spirits, and he understood her feelings. Here, Vivian and Lily could freely enjoy an atmosphere where they could openly reveal their races without worrying about being stared at. Nangong May had originally been just as happy, thinking that she had found a paradise belonging to the Sirens as well. But now, the situation made her feel isolated, so her disappointment was inevitable.
"Don't take it too much to heart." Hao Ren was clumsy with words and had no idea how to comfort her, so he could only try to divert Nangong May's attention. "Look at Izax. He has to hide his identity here too. Demons in this world also get beaten first and questioned later..."
Izax was standing not far away. Hearing that, he turned around and spread his hands at Hao Ren with an expression that was both amused and exasperated. Nangong May sighed.
