Hao Ren was startled by the bizarre thing that suddenly appeared in front of him. He shot several meters away in an instant—he believed that burst of speed would have let him scroll across the screen several times in all the Olympic water events. Only after putting enough distance between them did he have time to examine the thing properly. It was a corpse.
It was clearly not the corpse of an Earthling or any other typical human. The body was only about 1.4 to 1.5 meters tall, dressed in a thick, sturdy outfit resembling a work uniform. Its exposed skin was dark green, though Hao Ren did not know whether it had turned that color from soaking or had always been like that. This strange Alien Creature had a cylindrical, oversized head, no nose or ears, huge eyes and mouth, and no hair. It was roughly humanoid, but clearly different from humans. According to Raven 12345, it was probably a native race relatively distant from the "Information Perturbation of the gods." Its eyes were wide open as it silently floated in the crimson lake, carried toward Hao Ren by the current released from the gate. It was probably one of the crew members of this wrecked ship.
Whether the blood lake possessed some special power or the Alien Creature had an unusual bodily structure, the crew member had not rotted despite being submerged for two months. Hao Ren suppressed his discomfort and cautiously moved closer. On the back of the crew member's work uniform, he found a line of text. After he accessed the translation database, it was successfully deciphered: "Star of Heaven No. 4 Ship, Storage Employee."
