Once the spaceship entered the Trans-dimensional State, the four ascetics fell silent. Apart from Big Beard, the other three simply sat down cross-legged on the bridge floor, closed their eyes, and began meditating. Hao Ren wanted to continue discussing the Dream Plane and the Radiant Church with them, but he soon discovered that they had no interest in chatting. Their earlier willingness to answer every question had only been because they desperately needed to understand their circumstances. Now that they had figured everything out, the ascetics had returned to their wooden, expressionless state.
Lily, however, had never let the atmosphere affect her ability to act. Without caring whether anyone wanted to talk to her, she began addressing the three people sitting on the floor: "Hey, don't sit on the floor. There are chairs here..."
The three people on the floor merely shook their heads slightly without saying anything. Big Beard gave a simple reply: "There is no need for unnecessary comforts. The teachings of the Goddess of Contemplation are the highest form of pleasure."
Hao Ren scratched his hair and looked at Big Beard, suddenly remembering something rather important. "Oh, right! I forgot to ask your names!"
Unexpectedly, Big Beard merely shook his head at that. "Ascetics have no names. We do not need titles, nor do we need anyone to remember them."
Hao Ren was stunned. "No names? You don't have names? Then how do you usually address one another? And what about your everyday work... can you really manage without names?"
Hao Ren felt as if he had heard something utterly fantastical. He simply couldn't imagine how a group of people without names lived or worked. How did they assign tasks? How did they communicate? When mentioning another ascetic in conversation, how did they know who was meant?
