Perhaps Hao Ren's understanding of this world was still limited—especially his understanding of these believers. Apparently, Big Beard's casual way of finding the route didn't seem like much of a problem to outsiders. After he decided on the direction, the old werewolf didn't even take a look. He simply nodded and followed the group onward.
This underground world was enormous. The great cavern behind them was only a small part of it. Hao Ren had the Data Terminal perform a brief scan of the nearby terrain and discovered several underground cavities in the distance that were nearly as large as the cavern behind them. These cavities were connected by a complex network of caves. Without Big Beard leading the way, ordinary people would probably be trapped here until they died. After seeing the radar feedback in his mind, Hao Ren felt an indescribable awe toward this underground cave system. He couldn't imagine how the founder of the Radiant Church, three thousand years ago, had found the Life Progenitor and the Goddess's legacy in this Divine Cave. Without some unseen guidance, it was hard to believe that anyone could explore this underground world by sheer luck.
The cave ahead was long and winding, with rough, difficult paths. That marvelous glowing substance was scattered here and there across the irregular stone walls, illuminating the way while making the atmosphere extraordinarily eerie. Fortunately, the cave was fairly spacious, so walking through it didn't feel oppressive. Otherwise, being cooped up in such an environment for a long time would really affect one's mood.
Lily walked beside Hao Ren, collecting pretty-looking underground stones from the path and stuffing them into his hands as they went. She wanted Hao Ren to store them in his portable space and take them home to enrich her Dog's Treasure.
