As soon as Raven 12345 said this, the atmosphere immediately turned awkward. Big Beard and the other three had no idea how to react. Hao Ren felt awkward on their behalf: As a group of devout believers, what were they supposed to make of that?
Hao Ren ran through the images of zealots he had seen in other stories, and decided that the scene most fitting for the current situation would be for Big Beard and the other three to immediately pull out knives, spears, swords, and halberds, charge at Raven 12345 while shouting, "Fight for My Lord!" and then get blasted into submission by Goddess Sister's chain lightning. But after thinking about it, he decided that scenario probably wouldn't work: The one who had thrown out that line wasn't a mortal, but another goddess.
Moreover, judging from her organizational makeup and onboarding process, this unreliable older sister seemed more like the genuine article.
Big Beard and the other three had clearly thought of that too, so they became conflicted as well: Should they pursue the issue of their Goddess's dignity being compromised? Should they explain their own god's majesty and solemnity to another deity? No matter what they chose, it seemed awkward. Either they would betray their faith, or they would betray logic.
Most importantly, all religious conflicts in the world were, when stripped down to basics, conflicts between mortals. When the scene changed to a believer of one deity speaking with the true form of another deity, things were different. Big Beard and the others clearly lacked the relevant work experience...
Fortunately, Big Beard and the other three were very sensible. They knew they couldn't use the worldview of another world to judge whether that world's god was real. Besides, they had mentally prepared themselves before coming, so
