The Erem elves' fleet charged straight through the spatial bubble region. These elves from another world had little sense of the local defenses of this world. Although every one of them had been tense when they set out, highly alert because this was their first true "alien operation," they soon discovered that their ships had barely encountered any enemies that could be called an air force. Only a few griffin units and strange flying soldiers had tried to stop them from afar, but the fleet had essentially left them all behind, and they could hardly be called a threat.

If Erem ships had possessed spatial-jump capabilities, they could have made things even simpler. Unfortunately, they had to use portals between spatial bubbles to jump from place to place, and therefore had no choice but to advance along fixed routes.

Of course, the more important reason they had been able to charge straight in was that the locals had not reacted at all. The sight of a fleet breaching the atmosphere was unprecedented for everyone in this world. They had no idea what the bunch of bastards roaring across the sky actually were. By the time the Erem ships, led by the Giant Turtle Rock Platform, forcibly opened a portal and broke through the checkpoint, the locals only then realized that these were "enemies" under someone's control. By the time they came to their senses, the aliens had already run off to who knew where... A huge bunch of aliens had thundered over just to make up the numbers and then left. Who could possibly react in time to that?

The garrison near Cadheus's Fourth Portal stood in neat rows, craning their necks toward the sky in bewilderment. An aged commander muttered to his First Officer, "What exactly were those things?"
