Siren City, Nathatone, was a mysterious metropolis completely hidden beneath the Pacific Ocean. It had existed there for countless centuries, and its splendor predated even the Mythical Era on the surface. Aside from the Sirens, no one knew how to reach the city. Neither modern humanity's advanced detection technology nor the powerful Otherworldly Deities of old had ever successfully set foot in Nathatone. Some speculated that the entire city lay at the bottom of some deep-sea rift, its whereabouts concealed by plumes from underwater volcanoes. Others guessed that the Sirens had built a massive invisible barrier above their homeland to keep outsiders from prying—but in truth, none of these guesses were correct.
Nathatone was located on Earth, but it was not entirely part of Earth. It was wedged inside a spatial rift that intersected with the real world. The Athens Sanctuary took many generations to establish a similar shadow city, and it still left behind loopholes that could be breached. How did Nathatone manage to hide itself completely?"
"I don't know that myself." Shaqila shrugged. "From the moment I was
