Nathatone, the Siren City, was about to awaken from a century of chaos and darkness. Before that, however, it had to find a way to deal with the many messes before it. The palace district and control sections at the city center had been reduced to ruins in the massive explosion, while great swaths of bright fire and ceaseless energy turbulence flickered across the wreckage like wandering torches. Sirens kept emerging from buildings all over the city. Many had just recovered from their mental breakdowns, while others had only just been freed from cages by their rampaging kin. The Queen and her ministers of internal affairs would probably have to spend a great deal of effort restoring social order—but compared to the vortex on the Great Shield Wall, those were minor problems.

Shaqila's expression was awful. "Once this vortex collapses... will it blow up Nathatone? Or will it blast a hole in the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and destroy the entire planet?"
"No, it's worse than that." Hao Ren spoke rapidly while reading the scan report transmitted by the Data Terminal. "It won't blow up Earth—it'll blow up the entire
