The Water Planet Aeolus was undergoing a cataclysmic transformation. From space, almost no one would have believed what they were seeing: the ocean covering the entire planet was rapidly being blanketed in ghastly white. Thousands upon thousands of white spots had appeared out of nowhere across the Sea of Aeolus, and they were now expanding into ice sheets at a speed that defied every law of nature. Waves hundreds or even thousands of meters high froze solid in midair, whirlpools in the ocean became ice caverns in the blink of an eye, and frigid storms howled as they swept thousands of tons of snow and ice into the sky before hurling them down over the glaciers that had just formed. The planet was turning into an icy hell at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the sight left Lily and the others aboard the Giant Turtle Rock Platform pale with shock.
The holographic display in the center of the bridge showed radar images beneath the surface of the Sea of Aeolus. Now, however, the images were blurred beyond recognition, powerful interference stripes trembling across every frame. They were caused by the collapse point of the Wall of Reality. Although the earlier dual-end detonation had successfully shut down the portal here, the aftereffects of reality's brief collapse had yet to subside. Worse, some powerful force was deliberately guiding and amplifying the interference several times over. Lily couldn't understand what the images meant, but she knew something was terribly wrong, so all the fur on her body stood on end. "Terminal, think of something! Quick, think of something!
