Hao Ren had barely reached home and taken out his keys when the front door opened from inside. Lily had apparently heard his footsteps and run over to open it ahead of time. Just like any Husky with fully functioning senses, she could tell whose footsteps were coming from all the way inside the house, even while lying on the floor.
"Landlord, where are my steamed buns?" Lily looked at Hao Ren happily, then circled around behind him in search of the hidden bag. "I'm back from walking the cats, so where are my steamed buns?"
Hao Ren finally remembered what he had felt he'd forgotten earlier: he had forgotten Lily's steamed buns!
"Uh..." He stared awkwardly at the expectant Husky spirit. "Actually..."
Lily's face immediately stiffened. "Landlord, you didn't forget, did you?"
Hao Ren slapped his forehead and desperately came up with a way to stop Lily from biting anyone. He pulled a bag of snacks out of his personal space. "The steamed-bun place in the back street wasn't open today, so I bought you a bag of chocolate."
With that, he hurried inside, leaving Lily standing behind him in a daze with the bag of chocolate raised in her hands. It took the Husky spirit a while to react before she suddenly shouted, "Landlord, what the hell! I can't eat chocolate! It'll give me diarrhea!"
Vivian was watching television. Hearing the commotion at the door, she turned her head and muttered to Nangong May, "I told you, Big Dog is still Big Dog..."
Hao Ren came to the sofa, casually smacked Roll over to the side, and sat down with a sigh. "Old King went out with his daughter again?"
Nangong May had wrapped four or five loops of cloth around her tail and was scrubbing the floor
