Lily had returned to her human form and was tiptoeing around beside the Adjustment Pod, swaying back and forth as if sleepwalking. She seemed to be checking her own balance. When Hao Ren had first crawled out of the Adjustment Pod, he had acted the same way, afraid that this alien high-tech device might somehow leave him with some bizarre physical problem. It was a typical country-bumpkin mentality.
Hao Ren came over and asked with concern, "Are you conscious now? How do you feel?"
"Pretty good." Lily had finally regained her usual liveliness and beamed brightly. She jumped twice on the spot to show that she had completely regained control of her body. "See? I'm not shaking anymore! And I can retract my tail and ears too!"
At that moment, the other two Adjustment Pods slid open silently, and Vivian and Izax sat up inside them. The scene looked just like something out of Resident Evil. Hao Ren shook his head and tossed aside the bizarre association, then raised a hand to greet Izax. "Hey, can you understand what I'm saying?"
He was speaking Chinese this time. Izax failed to react at first, and it took him several seconds to realize that his language problem had already been solved. He immediately exclaimed in amazement, "This thing is really convenient! I won't have to struggle over a dictionary anymore."
"Big Dog, you're finally back to normal?" Vivian lightly leaped to the floor. She first kept a cautious two-meter distance from Lily, and only approached after confirming that Lily was no longer biting people. "You remember what you did this morning, right? You came straight at me and bit me!"
"I didn't actually bite you..." Lily turned away awkwardly. "Besides, I was sick back then. Couldn't you be a little more understanding?"
