Claws, tentacles, flesh, steel, magic energy, blades—everything was mixed together, as though thrown into a crazed meat grinder, constantly being dragged into a feast of death on the battlefield, where howling winds and sandstorms blotted out the sky. This was a battlefield found only in nightmares, a scene that could appear only in the old world, shrouded in darkness and chaos, amid delirium and madness. All kinds of corrupted, grotesque creatures clashed with one another. The attackers were monsters, and the defenders were monsters too. There was no strategy here at all, nor any sign of order or formation. The sole purpose of every combatant was to destroy the other side, and to savor the spoils in the most primitive and savage way possible. As more and more corrupted, twisted things were torn to pieces and smeared across the earth, the entire battlefield sank into frenzy. Even the wild winds howling across the wasteland were suppressed, leaving only blind roars and all kinds of crazed cries.
