When the Creation Goddess first set out to explore the universe of the Dream Plane, she knew nothing about the dark horrors lurking in the depths of the universe. Though she had been born powerful, her lack of knowledge and experience still made the goddess seem far too immature. She traveled throughout the world with the demigod Lockmadon she had created, visiting one strange planet and space after another. There was no need to recount the journey in detail. Everyone knew what she eventually encountered—
The Lord of Madness.
No sane individual could coexist with the Lord of Madness. In fact, the Lord of Madness could not peacefully coexist with any existence besides itself. The war between the Creation Goddess and this ferocious creature was inevitable. From the day they appeared in the same universe, the war had already begun, and it was destined not to end anytime soon.
In the battle the Ancient Ones called the "War of the Epoch's End," the Creation Goddess personally charged into the Lord of Madness's domain with her sword. She destroyed most of the Lord of Madness's physical structure and severely damaged its core, ultimately using a powerful sealing and prison system to permanently suppress this terrifying enemy in the depths of the universe. It seemed that she had won, but in truth, she had merely gained the upper hand for the time being. The war had entered its second phase, continuing on a new battlefield—inside the Creation Goddess herself.
