At the deepest reaches of X Sector, sealed layer upon layer by divine power and almost reduced to a state of overlapping dimensional spaces, the war had actually raged for thousands of years.
The spatial structure was shattered, the laws of the universe were in turmoil, and nearly pulverized celestial fragments mixed with enormous wreckage and debris, drifting aimlessly through space. They lingered like the corpses of wandering vengeful spirits, exuding an aura of death and desolation. The mighty forces of both sides and their protracted tug-of-war had completely transformed the galaxy. Unprotected minor celestial bodies and primitive planets had long since been reduced to dust, and even the starship fortresses once armed to the teeth could not escape being scattered and torn apart—yet even at this point, the war still would not stop.
Neither side had any reason to lay down their arms. Until the last person fell, they would not retreat a single step.
A planet shrouded in faint light stood at the center of the battlefield. It possessed vast stretches of land dotted with ribbon-like oceans. The clouds almost never dispersed, hanging over the planet like a flashing, ever-present woolen blanket and concealing the true appearance of the planet's surface.
The war had raged around this planet for thousands of years. Countless dark armies surrounded it in layer upon layer, raining artillery fire onto the planet's surface as though swarms of darkness were
