Specks of light spilled through the branches and leaves that stretched mile after mile, forming riverlike streams of radiance across the great plain below. All sorts of inconceivable phenomena occurred around the giant tree, the rivers of light, and its branches, and they could be seen every day.
Sometimes, a palace resembling a mirage would suddenly appear beneath the World Tree. Within it, one could even see neatly arranged spirit guards and servants hurrying back and forth.
