On the walls of Tire City.
The governor, clad in heavy armor, tore open the collar guard around his neck.
He gulped down the air thick with the stench of blood.
Just moments ago!
He had already lost count of how many times he had repelled the orcs' attacks from outside the city.
He looked around.
All he saw were corpses strewn across the ground.
Even his fine-steel greatsword was covered in nicks.
The priceless alchemical necklace hanging before his chest was already riddled with cracks.
At the slightest touch, it shattered into fragments.
If not for the shield of this necklace,
the governor would have died long ago.
It had blocked at least ten attacks for him.
Not long ago, a spear had pierced his neck. It was only thanks to the alchemical necklace

Clutching the fragments in his hand,
Governor of Tire thought regretfully.

Governor of Tire rose to his feet with his greatsword in hand.
The guard knights trained by his family had long since vanished.
Across the entire wall, there were barely any living people left.
He turned to look into the city. Reinforcements still had not arrived.
"What a pity."
"Tire City is going to be lost in my hands."
"But I've done everything I could."
"The orcs' attacks came like a tidal wave."
"Being able to hold out until now is already my limit."
"The next attack will be my time to die as well."
Just as Governor of Tire was preparing to sacrifice himself for the city,
a voice suddenly rang out.
"They're retreating!"
"They're retreating!"
The sudden shouts left Governor of Tire utterly puzzled.
"Who's retreating?"
"The orcs!"
