At the edge of the battlefield, atop a towering mountain, the Masked Man gazed from afar at the clash between man and dragon, a battle that looked like something out of mythology. The shockwaves created by the crimson Half-Body Giant and the Azure-White Light Dragon were truly magnificent. Now that the battle had reached this point, no one could tell who would emerge victorious.
At the center of the battlefield, the Azure-White Light Dragon and the crimson giant were locked in combat, each straining against the other without yielding an inch. Just then, a wave of energy suddenly erupted from within the light dragon. Its might surged as it unleashed even greater power, while a figure dove downward, making straight for Uchiha Itachi on the ground.
"What is Sasuke trying to do? Susanoo is known as the strongest defense. Ordinary methods won't work... No, that Black Blade in his hand... Kakashi..."
The Masked Man was utterly baffled by Sasuke's actions. Then he suddenly saw a short black Tachi appear in Sasuke's hand, its surface like a black hole that reflected not the slightest glimmer of light. The instant the Tachi appeared, his heart began to pound violently of its own accord.
"Crack..."
After the Azure-White Light Dragon erupted, it rapidly weakened and then dispersed. Sasuke's charged slash had already been unleashed as well. The energy giant of Susanoo standing between him and Itachi shattered inch by inch, as though struck by an irresistible force. The two figures drew close once more and collided.
A terrifying explosion swept in all directions. The shockwaves raised rolling seas of dust and waves of stone, completely destroying and shattering the original canyon. Deep within the mountain, dull rumbles echoed again and again.
