The defining feature of Slaughter City was slaughter. Not only were there killing arenas in the underground city, but even here in the hotel, entry slots had to be fought over by Slaughterers.

Two burly men occupying a table and carrying executioner's blades slammed the table and rose to their feet. Quite a few people nearby joined in, clamoring to enter together.
