"'The Valley Spirit never dies; it is called the Mysterious Female. The gateway of the Mysterious Female is called the Root of Heaven and Earth. Faint and continuous, it seems to exist; use it, and it is never exhausted...'"
In Lingxu Grotto-Heaven, wisps of green smoke curled through the rooms in the disciples' courtyard. In Gu Sheng's room, he held a book with fairly fresh ink and softly recited Chapter Six of Lao Dan's Dao De Jing. Though this text was not a cultivation technique, it contained many principles of Heaven and Earth and was highly beneficial to cultivation.
Beside him, Weiwei listened in silence, her beautiful eyes fixed on him. Her slender hands manipulated the tea set with the flowing sound of water, and the faint fragrance of tea rose through the room. Mixed with the green smoke, it calmed both mind and spirit.
Suddenly, two hurried footsteps sounded outside the door. Gu Sheng, who had been reciting the scripture, abruptly stopped, while Weiwei, who had been brewing tea, also frowned toward the door.
"Come in!"
Gu Sheng put away the book and casually waved his hand. The two doors opened inward on their own, revealing two figures to Gu Sheng and Weiwei.
Ye Fan had been raising his hand to knock, but awkwardly lowered it. After seeing Weiwei, he hurried forward with Pang Bo and saluted. "Disciples Ye Fan and Pang Bo pay their respects to Senior Brother Gu and Senior Sister Weiwei!"
"Why have you come to see me?"
Gu Sheng quietly studied the two of them. Just two days ago, he had told them to come into contact with him less often. Had these two fellows forgotten already? Or did they think his temper was too good?
"Senior Brother Gu, you have to save Ye Fan!"
