At the square before Marineford's Execution Platform, countless Marines prepared their weapons, while Marine officers delivered declarations and speeches from above.

The thunderous cheers shattered the heavens, and countless Marines were filled with fighting spirit. This time, Marine Headquarters had summoned more than a hundred thousand elite Marines from all over the world. The force of their unified roar was truly astonishing.

Surrounding the crescent-shaped waters of Marineford Bay were fifty Marine warships, all stocked with ample ammunition and placed on combat alert ahead of time.

The crescent-shaped bay and harbor were one of Marineford's distinctive features. In truth, they also represented a great battle—a brutal conflict known to very few.

Before the Pirate King Roger's life was about to end, he had voluntarily surrendered to the Marines. After Roger was captured, Golden Lion, the great pirate who had once been his rival, grew furious and came alone to attack Marine Headquarters. Sengoku and Garp hurried over upon hearing the news and stopped him.

After that battle, the entire town of Marineford was almost destroyed. Golden Lion was also captured alive and imprisoned. The orderly Marineford of the past had been transformed into its present form by that battle.

The shoreline before Marineford's Execution Platform was packed with countless heavy cannons. From the harbor, one could see eight figures standing at the very front of the army. Five of the Seven Warlords of the Sea who had already arrived stood prominently among them, along with three powerful Vice Admirals from Marine Headquarters.
