The Fish Had Mutated!

More than an hour later, Jiang You rode her electric scooter to the entrance of the park.

Bibo Lake surrounded a large expanse of gardens. Because of Bibo Lake, this park was the only lush, green place in the entire city.

The breeze blowing off the lake carried a faint fishy smell, but it was not unpleasant.

There might be mutated plants here.

This park had four entrances in the east, south, west, and north. They were currently at the main eastern entrance.

The park gate had originally been a retractable gate only half a person tall, but by now, it had been wrecked beyond recognition.

It was essentially useless.

Jiang You put the electric scooter into her storage space, then directly stepped over the fence that had been knocked over in front of her and went inside.

Da Zhuang followed close behind.

Usually, parks like this had a basic map near the entrance.

It was a carp!

Once he realized what was happening, he immediately began swiping wildly with his claws. In an instant, red scales were scattered all over the ground.

That fish weighed at least twenty or thirty pounds. Although it looked like a koi, when it opened its mouth, Jiang You clearly saw rows of sharp teeth inside.

The fish in Bibo Lake had probably all mutated.

The fish wanted to drag Da Zhuang into the water, while Da Zhuang wanted to drag it onto the shore.

Neither side was willing to yield.

But the fish clearly could not beat Da Zhuang. More than half the scales on its body had already been clawed off, and one of its eyes had been poked out. It was in a sorry state.

Seeing the water rippling on the lake not far away and a school of large red carp surfacing, drawn by the smell of blood, Jiang You hurriedly grabbed Da Zhuang by the tail and dragged both cat and fish onto the shore. Then she took several steps back from the water.

With one slash, she cut the fish in half with a crisp crack.

Da Zhuang's head suddenly came free of the fish's mouth. Aside from having wet fur, he had no injuries.

He looked somewhat shaken and meowed at Jiang You.

Da Zhuang: Were you trying to chop me to death?!

Jiang You cast him a cool glance. "Don't worry. I know what I'm doing."

Only then did Da Zhuang lower his head and gnaw the fish's head nearly clean in two bites.

Then he looked at the school of fish in the lake, seemingly still unsatisfied.

One fish was one thing, but an entire school was a little too fierce.

Jiang You squatted down and pried open the fish's mouth. Sure enough, its mouth was filled with sharp fangs.

She glanced at Bibo Lake. The school of fish on the surface had already sunk back down.

One or two mutated fish was perfectly normal.

The scenery around him began spinning before his eyes.

Water flew everywhere.

A cat came crashing heavily into the lake.

Da Zhuang thrashed madly in the middle of the lake.

Was this woman insane?

Had she disliked me for a long time and wanted to kill me?

If you want to kill me, come at me openly! You little coward, attacking me by surprise!

She actually threw me into the lake!

There are man-eating fish in here!

This could cost me my life!

The loud splashing immediately attracted another school of carp.

Da Zhuang looked at the expanse of red appearing directly in front of him in terror.

Good heavens, these fish are shaped like nuclear submarines! That woman really is trying to get me killed!

He frantically turned and fled, paddling wildly with all four paws.

But the next second, he felt a pain in his tail and backside, followed by a sudden heaviness.

Damn it~

It bit me in the balls!!!

Da Zhuang's fur instantly stood on end. He reached back and crushed a fish's head with his paw.

Seeing that it was about enough, Jiang You pulled hard on the rope in her hand and dragged Da Zhuang toward the shore.

Behind Da Zhuang, a school of large red, white, and yellow carp followed close behind.

To be fair, if one ignored the fact that they had mutated, these fish were quite beautiful.

As soon as Da Zhuang's paws could touch the ground, he scrambled ashore, rolling and crawling.

Several fish were still clamped onto his tail and backside, refusing to let go even in death, and he dragged them ashore as well.

She helped pull all the fish off Da Zhuang's backside and tail.
