Ch. 565When the Wind Stills

After Ōtsutsuki Isshiki died, Shuji examined Neji’s Karma and explored the other dimension while Kakashi gathered the scattered supplies. Madara waited for Isshiki to attack Konoha, then learned he had been killed and left, disappointed that no worthy battle remained.

  • Shuji confirmed that Ōtsutsuki Isshiki had turned completely to ash, then checked Neji’s Karma and found it had thawed by around twenty percent in one month.
  • Shuji ordered Kakashi to gather the black cubes and gray pillars while he searched the dimension with Neji for Isshiki’s hidden Ten-Tails.
  • Madara reached Konoha and learned from Black Zetsu that Might Guy had driven Isshiki back with the Eighth Gate, while Shuji and the tree remained out of sight.
  • Madara waited near Konoha for more than a day, then concluded that Isshiki was dead when no attack came.
  • Madara left Konoha, lamenting that Hashirama’s death had made life dull and that no one remained to give him a thrilling battle.

Ch. 566Twilight and Fireflies

  • Hashirama and Tobirama surveyed Konoha, then visited Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji at the Laboratory Building.

Ch. 567Faint Light of Stars and Frost

Kakashi and Hiruzen Sarutobi discussed Minato and Kushina’s departure while Shuji repaired the Old Residence with the Sand siblings. Shuji proposed separating Gaara and Kaede from their Tailed Beasts, then extracted Chomei and Shukaku and left the beasts in his care.

  • Kakashi told Hiruzen Sarutobi that Obito had left after they put the belongings in storage, and Hiruzen explained that Shuji was repairing the Old Residence.
  • Shuji and the Sand siblings cleared the damaged house, and Shuji told Temari to prepare an extra portion because Minato had gone back.
  • Shuji warned Gaara and Kaede that Madara and other enemies could target the Tailed Beasts, then offered to separate Shukaku and Chomei from them.
  • Kaede agreed to separate from Chomei, and Shuji extracted the beast; Kaede embraced Chomei and asked it to fly.
  • Gaara agreed to separate from Shukaku, and Shuji extracted the beast, which complained about its small size when Shuji compared it with flying Chomei.

Ch. 568The Vacant Spot

Shuji returned to his original appearance after gaining control over the Mother Stock, while Kaede and Gaara brought Naruto a miniature Shukaku and Chomei to help him face Minato’s departure. News of the Tailed Beasts leaving their Jinchuriki reached the villages, as Madara and Orochimaru looked toward future possibilities beyond the Shinobi World.

  • Shukaku reluctantly agreed to visit Isobu with Kaede and Gaara, leaving the Old Residence quiet for the night.
  • Shuji restrained the Mother Stock’s influence and used Yin–Yang Release to restore his original appearance, which Temari saw the next morning.
  • Kaede and Gaara arrived at Naruto’s window with Shukaku and Chomei, then pulled him out to join them for breakfast.
  • Naruto accepted Gaara’s hand and went with him, finding renewed resolve to keep his promise despite grieving Minato’s departure.
  • News that Shukaku and Chomei had left their Jinchuriki spread through Konoha, the Joint Affairs Bureau, and the villages.

Ch. 569The Hokage's Return

Ch. 570Extra 1: Ōtsutsuki, Neji

Isshiki awakened within Neji and prepared to bargain with Shuji, but Shuji mortally wounded Neji and forced Isshiki to choose between letting them both die or using Karma to save Neji at the cost of losing control over reincarnation. Isshiki chose neither immediately and confronted Neji in their inner world, where he explained the Ōtsutsuki’s pursuit of evolution.

  • Isshiki observed Neji’s recent life and analyzed Shuji’s abilities while planning how to negotiate with him.
  • Neji left the Hyuga residence with Toneri after thanking Hiashi for allowing him freedom.
  • Shuji asked whether Isshiki had awakened, then pierced Neji’s chest and gave Isshiki the choice to let Neji die or use Karma to save him and surrender control over reincarnation.
  • Neji urged Shuji to stop, but Shuji told Isshiki he could remain within Neji until Neji grew despairing or chose to lean toward the Ōtsutsuki.
  • Isshiki drew Neji into their inner world and described the Ōtsutsuki’s desire to transcend the limits of life.

Ch. 571Side Story Two: Water Flows West

Nagato traveled toward Amegakure with Shuji, Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari, where they saw how the Land of Rain had changed. At a vast reservoir built through cooperation among the Lands of Wind, Rain, and Earth, Gaara saw a possible future for the Land of Wind.

  • Nagato planned to return to Amegakure, but Shuji persuaded him to travel with the group instead of hurrying ahead.
  • As they entered the Land of Rain, Nagato noticed foreign shinobi, improved roads, and drainage works that differed from the village he remembered.
  • The group followed Temari to a seepage leak at a flood diversion channel, where a craftsman directed Iwagakure shinobi to repair the slope properly.
  • Nagato stayed at the repair site while Shuji and the Sunagakure siblings continued to the first-phase regulating reservoir.
  • Shuji and the others surveyed the reservoir and watched water flow through a sluice gate into a channel leading toward the Land of Wind.
  • Gaara watched the water and called the project the future of the Land of Wind.

Ch. 572Extra 3: Travel Expenses

  • Shuji asked whether they could go anywhere, and Samui ruled out the Land of Water and said it was her time.
