I didn't take publishing Crimson Moon's Madness very seriously at first. Many of my friends and longtime readers only found out about it much later. I was used to writing Xianxia, and I didn't even know whether I could handle this kind of subject matter. But now that the book has been out for a while, I've found that everyone's feedback has been pretty good, so of course I'll continue writing it seriously.
An author like me is handsome and talented, yet everyone refuses to admit it. All I can do is make everyone acknowledge my character instead.
At first, I wanted to write this book because I went through a fairly serious bout of depression last year. I thought about many things during that time and spent a long while working on the beginning, but I couldn't make up my mind. Then one day, I had a sudden inspiration and published it.
I originally planned to write it just for fun. You could tell, too—the protagonist's surname wasn't Fang...
But since I signed a contract and even got a recommendation, I had to take it seriously.
I can't guarantee anything else, but I'll update regularly.
As for my principles regarding this book, I mainly wanted to write about how I felt during that period, so making money won't be my top priority. In other words, I'll do my best not to pad the story, and I won't chase crazy update speeds just to boost sales. Quality will come first.
Since I published the book so hastily, there may be some problems with certain details. I'll revise and polish them all later.
