The Second Coming?
At first hearing the name, Lu Xin felt a faint stir of surprise and confusion. It sounded somewhat familiar.
He remembered that this was not the first time he had heard these four words.
For a period of time, both the Eclipse Research Institute and various other people had been worried about this happening.
But after the Kindling City incident, hardly anyone mentioned it anymore.
It seemed that the signs they had been worried about had disappeared, and the Second Coming could no longer occur.
But why had it suddenly happened now?
Without the slightest warning.
And what would a Second Coming like this turn the world into?
Faced with this question, Chen Jing looked just as stunned as Lu Xin. Together, they stared blankly at Professor Bai.
"It isn't the Second Coming. It should be called the Third Descent."
Just as the same thought arose in their minds, a voice suddenly appeared, sounding as though it had come from another dimension. In the next moment, a faint response arose on the mental level. With a sharp motion, Chen Jing drew her gun and aimed it at a patch of empty space.
Lu Xin sensed it as well, but he made no unnecessary move. He did not feel any danger.
A vortex of mental power appeared where Chen Jing's gun was aimed.
The vortex began as a tornado that appeared out of thin air. It gradually expanded, finally turning into a ripple. Then, several Infiltrators crawled out through the ripple. The one in the middle had a red hat perched on its head.
The hat even had two sharp horns, while its little face was bruised and swollen.
No one knew who had beaten it up.
They jumped out of the vortex and immediately saw
