Hello everyone, Crimson Moon has finally come to an end!
I'm personally quite satisfied with Old Ghost's ending to this story. Actually, I was a little worried at first about whether everyone would be able to accept this kind of ending. Then I realized I'd been overthinking it—the acceptance everyone showed was even greater than I expected. By the penultimate chapter, everyone already thought it was perfect.
But there still had to be hope. The final chapter was written to embody that hope.
Some readers had already noticed it earlier, and I also mentioned it in a previous interview: the core of Crimson Moon was clear.
What I wrote throughout the entire book was actually the process of one person emerging from repressed negative emotions.
After all, I initially wrote it casually for fun and published it simply because I wanted to record that period of emotion. So when I later filled in the outline and developed the setting, I naturally incorporated this idea. And I think it was very meaningful.
The story has ended, but there are still some matters to explain in the extra chapters.
For example, the friendship between Old Director and the Clown. Originally, this was designed to flesh out the images of Old Director and the Clown...
But as I kept writing, I couldn't bring myself to insert that part and disrupt the overall pacing, so I'll put it in the extra chapters for everyone to read.
Of course, I need to rest for a while first.
There will also be an afterword. Since this book had a prologue, naturally it will have an afterword as well.
But this afterword is being prepared for those friends who like perfectly happy endings. People who like happy endings are kind, and Old Ghost certainly won't destroy that
