Lu Xin was dazzled by the flashlight beams. He narrowed his eyes and looked ahead.
He could see Gecko raising his hands with an exasperated look, winking at him as if to say he had already done his best.
They had divided up the work earlier. Lu Xin had come out to pursue the target, while Gecko stayed behind to persuade Blackwater Town's armed forces.
This should have been fairly easy to resolve. Lu Xin had no idea why Gecko had instead been detained.
