"Uh... thank you!"
The figure seemed not to have expected Lu Xin to react that way. After saying thanks, his expression looked somewhat strange.
...Of course, his expression was impossible to make out directly. One could only judge from the single eye on his face. Its pupil contracted slightly, while the eyelids on either side wrinkled faintly, much like an ordinary person's brows.
This seemed to indicate that he wasn't sure whether Lu Xin's assessment of him was sincere or sarcastic.
His manner, however, remained elegant. He gently took out a white handkerchief and dabbed at the corner of his eye. Then he spoke softly, "I hope we can talk first. We have always been extremely well-disposed toward Ability Users."
Lu Xin noticed that his voice came from the area of his lower abdomen.
"So you're real too?"
Lu Xin carefully examined him and only then realized that there was also a faint shadow beneath the man's feet.

He felt that this person was similar in nature to the brain he had encountered in White Tower Town. It was impossible to say whether he was human or a monster.
